Just watch the first round. This is what happens when you're an overhyped fraud who has never fought a technically proficient fighter. Imagine what Pacquio or JMM would have done to the Princess. Typical Brit fighter..all hype, no substance. This is what happens when you come to America to fight real competition.
WRONNNNG. Barrera beat that Prince Naseem. He may well have beaten Prince Naseem before he went bad, but trust anyone who knows British boxing and saw almost all of that Naz's fights (not just that one and whatever clips you were able to piece together from youtube), prime Naseem Hammed would've knocked out the one that foguht Barrera in a couple of rounds. He'd completely lost it by then, in more ways than one.

Rubbish. Naz had a very good record against very strong competition. Dispell that myth.

Further to my previous post, want to know whats funny? I just watched the video that you posted and as that video ended, the commentator scorecard had Naz 1 round up.

Bwwah. And that's why he's a commentator and not a judge. It's hard for us to look deep inside and admit shortcomings of those who we idolize based on heritage, shared nationality, personal beliefs, etc. The fact is the Princess NEVER...I REPEAT NEVER BEAT A HALL OF FAME FIGHTER IN THEIR PRIME. The first one he faced in their primes slammed his hook nose off the turnbuckle..running back to Sheffield like a little pansy never to be seen again. Denial is not a good thing.

Wrong tree my friend. I loathed Naz during his career and was always wanting to see him get knocked out. I was happy to see Barerra defeat him, but hindsight is a great thing. I realised that I unfairly criticised Hamed during his career due to me wanting to see him defeated. The fact does remain that the quality of his opponents was strong. He DID fight a close fight with Barerra for at least the first 6 rounds (something that all of the commentators, Big George Foreman himself agreed upon...I would need to refresh myself with the second half of the fight to judge those after that, though I do seem to remember him gradually getting further and further behind, there is no doubt that he was competetive in the fight) and ultimately he did lose.
Keep trying that nationality card though pal. Who knows? Someone might buy it.
Prime Hamed would kill Prime Pac. Oh and Juan Manuel Marquez.
Good generalisation with the ¨British fighters coming to America¨ line.
You're ignorant like almost this entire forum.
Prime? He was 26 yrs old when he got ****d by Marco. He was prime then. All the excuses about his trainer leaving is just a red herring to detract from the real cause of his loss to Marco: Marco was/is a better fighter than Hamed. Period.
He could have made us wait another 4 hours for his gloves to fit right, would not matter. He could have flown into the ring in a helicopter, that wouldn't make him a better fighter than Marco. He could have had an Imam pray with him in the ring about Islam, he would have still lost to the Christian.
Marco>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>prince rat faced Hamed

Yeah I agree. I think the Prince possibly COULD have beat Barrera on talent alone but he refused to train. He thought alla was gonna get him through, which of course he didnt. He got far to ****y for his own good, and the fact that he only fought once since was pathetic, too.
Barrera was a better fighter cos he was actually dedicated to the sport of boxing and is a true warrior. Hamed, I am afraid, simply isnt.
Some of these comments are so ******. I'm a big Hamed fan but I also like Barrera. The fact remains that Hamed's "legacy" was ended by perhaps one of the best featherweights of all time. Pacquiao would have been head on the canvas ****d by that Barrera.
Hamed was nowhere near his best at that fight and that is such an over-hyped beating. If you wanna see a real beating Calzaghe vs Lacey is for you. Hamed was never able to break through Barrera's defence. Lacey just got ****ing owned. Outboxed every round.
But no matter who you are as a boxing fan you need to give respect to Hamed because he is the reason these smaller guys are now getting bigger paychecks. Whether you loved him or hated him he brought drama to the ring and in the UK he practically kept a whole generation interested in boxing.
If the Hamed's and Mayweather's disappear in boxing then so does its character and individuality itself. Then you guys start crying when people start watching MMA.
