    Possibly B-Hop.
Other than that I can see him being in some incredibly exciting fights and making a big name for himself here.
Its a shame so much of that talent went to waste against C level fighters.

How exactly do you build a profile in the US by fighting in Wales? What a joke...

Yes he should shut the **** up. Forget Calzaghe he is not even best in Bitain at SMW. You yankie boys should worry about Carl " The Cobra Froch " WBcs No 3 rated and undefeated. Calzaghe is dodging him to.

Are you asking to be a ****? Or are you asking because you honestly dont know what difference fighting an American 'name' on American Network television makes in comparison to fighting a European contender not on American Network TV can make to your profile?

Who's the European contender you're talking about? Kessler's got two belts, which would make it a unification fight. You do realize Kessler's fighting in Copenhagen and on HBO next time? And it's not because of Andrade it's on American TV, it's because of Kessler. So, if Kessler can fight a no name on American TV, and Calzaghe has to fight Manfredo to "raise his profile" (as if a win over Manfredo will mean more than his win over Lacy??) because he can't get big fights, then why do you think Calzaghe-Kessler wouldn't be on TV in the US, thus raising his profile as UNIFIED champ? That is provided he wins the fight of course, and maybe THAT'S where the problem is buried

because a unifivation will be 5 times bigger when you have known fighters o it !!!!!!1its that simple, calzaghe could fight kessler now and it wouldnt mean as much as it would mean after he fights peter and kessler fights andrade for the general boxing public!!!!!

How about facing an American "name" on American television in America?

I was referring to Kessler. I was referring to how he is raising his profile in comparison to his previous bouts over the last few years.

He will, he's said this is probably his last fight in Wales. He is the champion, Manfredo is the challenger and frankly he is nothing more than a TV name, so why should he go to the US for that (dont get me wrong, I'd still rather he did, but I dont see it being a big deal that he isnt)? He wants to send off the end of his career at home in style, fair play to him rewarding his loyal fans.

Regardless, your point is not only irrelevant but is ignoring your original statement (to which I made my original reply), as the fact still remains that he IS raising his US profile with the Manfredo fight, so you cant say that he isnt and hope to be taken seriously.

PLEASE spare us the 'he's fighting Manfredo to raise his profile' bulls**t...

Nobody knows who Manfedo is,so how does that raise his profile????

What a bunch of crap...at least he should be truthful and call it like it is.
He's fighting the guy to get a good workout in without risking anything.

And then he has the nerve to call out Hopkins opponent???...a legit top ten fighter who would probably beat Calzaghe himself.

What a peice of work this Calzaghe is...I've lost all respect for this punk ass.

If you people are true boxing fans, it's not gonna be hard to see and understand that Winky is a harder opponent to figure out that Joe . . . so in short what Joe is saying is "bull****".
