then his best chance is probably to play counterpuncher, make floyd go first and time his punches. oscar has excellent technique, he has a good jab and left hook and no matter what the nuthuggers say about speed being power, floyd can't **** with dlh.

Yep. That is what I think. Use lateral movement and go punch for punch with him.

Nah nah nah friend. This is what the forum is all about . . . opinions.

The fact is, no matter what we members post and discuss in here, it doesn't affect the fighters, not DLH or any other fighter.

Just for the sake of discussion, dude.

          Good assessment dr filth.

This fight will be all about timing for De La Hoya. Floyd does have some tells, especialy when he is setting up that right hand lead he loves to throw. If Oscar can time his left hook over Floyds right, I think he can pull out a win.

Well Floyd's gameplan is usually pretty unpredictable. It's not as simple as "timing the left hook over Floyd's right hand".

i bet this will be in teddy atlas's tips before the fight... and oscar has an excellent left hook - this is his best chance, especially later on in the fight when they both start to get tired and not folow the gameplan. when they're both fighting on automatic pilot late in the fight in this time for this

It's not that simple. I have seen Floyd use different strategies with different opponents. With Corrales he backed up alot and jabbed to the body setting up his left hook. Against Gatti he stood in the pocket and traded and bested him easily. Against Castillo he jabbed to the head and clinched alot so he wouldnt have to fight inside.

oscar fights like none of those guys, so chances are we'e going to see something different from floyd on fight night. he can't outbox oscar, he's gonna have to be smarter than dlh if pretty boy wants the win. i think though, dlh can make mistakes in this fight, pbf can't
