Manny is god to you guys but for me he is a boxer who gets a name for beating guys who are past their prime,weight drained,battle worn,lost their las couple of fights and are coming from two wights down.But abot the fight i suggest you watch the fight again and you will se how montiel was more agrresive and landing the most significant shots,hell he even knocked him down a couple of times but the ref didnt count them you guys dont say nothing about that do you?Oh yeah and also anyone that gave pacquiao any round after the first in his fight against marquez is blind.Just face it montiel won period.

Im not trying to be disrespectful but then you have posters starting to say a bunch of crap and it gets to this point but seriously speaking i think montiel won and gorres did good but not enough.I know it sucks when you have hopes that your fighter will win or become a champion but this is boxing and everybody judges the fights different but thats why they have judges sometimes we agree with them sometimes we dont but what can we do.But my honest opinion is montiel won a close decision but its defenitly not a robbery.

Really? That was a close fight reason why Gorrez is being retained as number 1 mandatory? How long have you been a boxing fan dude? How many close and controversial championship fights have you seen? The fact is no matter how close or controversial a fight is, championship or not, a loss is still a loss and will always pull down a fighters ranking. Or otherwise the boxing body could have ordered an immediate rematch, That should not be debatable.

Using marquez vs pacquiao as an example is out of context?Ok one question who do you guys think did better marquez vs pacquiao or gorres vs montiel?Also who else thinks its arobbery besides only pinoys?Bring me a legit article that is not by aphillipino or from the phillipines that says gorres was robbed.And yes i think montiel won and so did the judges wich is all that matters,i just dont understand who you guys say he was robbed you want to know a real robbery chavez/whithaker,d.l.h/trinidad,ramirez/withaker,oquendo/byrd, those are just a few montiel/gorres is not even close to those.

Ill agree with that Romero v.s Viloria fight Romero did cheat, as for Marquez v.s Jaca I do remember threads here saying why Jaca would win same for Suico v.s Diaz those were good wins for them. as for Montiel v.s Gorrez alot of people say Gorrez was robbed I havent seen the whole fight only the first 6 rounds so I wont comment on it although it would be no big surprise if he did get robbed Gorrez was doing a hell of a job through the first half, And if he did get robbed badly I do hope they give Gorrez a Montiel rematch for mid 07.
