Oscar is only "calling out" Hatton so that he gets more PPV buys in England for his Mayweather fight. I personally don't think that Oscar will win May 5th, but that doesn't matter. He's a smart businessman and by awakening Hatton-ODLH fight hopes in England more people are going to want to watch his next fight. Very smart move by Oscar.

Oscar will never drop down to 147, either. He might agree to a catch weight of 150 or 151, but that's still not good territory for Ricky Hatton to be in.

I think Castillo - Hatton happens in November if he takes on the mandatory.

its handpicked in terms of neither of these guys pose a for real serious threat to him like castillo does, its handpicked in terms of instead of taking a serious fight that means something, they are taking a ridiculous and worthless mandatory nobody wants to see.

but its a credible win for hatton, even if hes older, hes not like tszyu where hes coming off surgery etc. Castillo is a viable opponent, but this mandatory **** is a bunch of bull****.

IF u were ever wondering what is wrong with boxing today...

In all honesty, Hatton-Castillo should have happened on January 20th

I agree with Black Jesus on this because if Hatton takes that fight it's bull****. The Hatton vs JLC fight is bigger than belts so he should just drop that belt. He has the ring belt which means more than any other alphabet trinket. He's still the recognized champ at 140 & that carries more weight than anything. If he takes the fight with N'Dou or Rabah, I would lose all respect for him.

Exactly. Hatton needs to stop fighting these worthless fights and step up to the big boys for once. Does he still think he's in Manchester? This weak **** doesn't fly in the US...

He has a choice and he's taking the easier fight. That's handpicking a weaker opponent over a stronger opponent. It's not like a belt is going to add much to the Castillo fight...
