Hatton-Castillo Pushed Back To November?

wouldn't we all. this however is about hatton fighting his mandatory and the castillo fight............not about how many p4p opponents hatton has fought. the fact that hatton left the comfort zone of manchester to come over to america and fight............... and that he is about to face 3 fighters in one year, should show people that he is at least willing to try and that does not warrant the criticism that he gets.Last edited by Oasis_Lad; 02-03-2007, 05:41 PM.Comment

In a strange twist, IBF junior welterweight champ Ricky Hatton has agreed to defend his title against the mandatory contender that arises from this weekend's bout between Australian rivals Naoufel Ben Rabah and Lovemore Ndou. [details]Comment

i dont see the problem........isn't hatton still fighting castillo in november ? now we get to see hatton fight 3 times in one year. when was the last time a top 10 p4p fighter did that ?
do not get me wrong, i would have loved to see hatton drop the ibf belt and go to war with castillo, a little earlier but sadly the ibf stuck their noses in.
hatton fighting 3 times in a year ( including castillo ) beats the hell out of hatton fighting twice in a year ( castillo included ) to me.Comment

This is bull****. Castillo is just going to get older. Hatton needs to realize that the belts meaning nothing. Ring Magazine is the king of designating champs, and that's all that matters. Castillo is above both Rabah and N'dou.Comment

Word on the street is that Hatton wants to fight at The City of Manchester Stadium (Manchester City FC's football ground) in the summer, and then take on Oscar De La Hoya in September!
Talk about MONEY. You can't blame Rick for this.. he'll have 40,000+ watching him at The City of Manchester Stadium, and then an Oscar fight a few months later! I'm sure his American TV people will lap it up.
Word on the street over here is Castillo looked bad in his last fight intentionally so no one would back out in June.Comment
