So only Peter and Vitali are worth watching? But surley neither are anything to get excited about, especially wen nearly every other weight division has better fighters.

I just want to watch good fighters, regardless of what weight they are. The heavywreight division doesnt have much to offer.

You either like HW boxing or you dont.

The old HW Division is dead forever. If you expect

There is a new breed of fighter introduced by Lennox Lewis. 6'4"+ 240lb men.

You will not see 205-220lb heavies anymore make much noise. It just changed.

And as been said many times its not that the division is so horrible, it's just that all these fighters are foreigners, and I guess its hard for the average American to root for some nigerian or ukrainian.

Everyone makes it sound as if in the old days a heavy ranked 10th would be of Wlads calibre or something.

Well, that clearly defines your stereotype!

          I am not american,

          I think they suck stylewise)

Wlad has 3 THREE 3 stoppage losses, that is probably connected to why he is not compared well to the heavys of the 90s

My ony hope. when everyone is 6'5", we will see some boxing in the HW division again instead of "lean on the back foot, lean on the opponent"

            Just in 2006 alone:

Brewster / Lyakhovich was one of the most exciting HW fights I've seen.

This was Gatti / Ward , Corales / Castillo , fighting at HW!
Rahman / Maskaev was a great HW fight as well. The reason it's not making any noise is because the so called "America's Last Line Of Defence" promotional slogan put by DKP and Rahman got KTFO all over again.

Toney / Peter II (early 2007) was a great performance by Peter.

Wlad / Brock was a good technical fight.. that was going pretty even with Wlad controlling the fight. Then Wlad gets cut, makes a move and takes Brock out which was remarkable planned timing.

Good Things are coming... those of you who say the division sucks are just biased and do not favor any non-American fighter.
(BTW, just as a side note: Maskaev lives in Staten Island, NY and is a US citizen. Vitali lives in Cali. Wlad is all over the place.. Germany, Ukraine, Cali, NY, Briggs is a Brooklyn born)

Your making it sound like those were some "got out classed devistating KOs"

First loss early in his career beacuse he was gassed.

2nd a TKO because he underestimated his opponent and got rocked bad.

3rd gassed once more after taking Brewster to school.

plus those 3 losses were spread out over 50 fights. 47-3 42 ko's is nothing to be ashamed of and like you said 2 out of those 3 losses were just a matter of uner estimating the opponents chin by throwing too many too quickly
