technically peter didnt earn it cause he really didnt deserve to be given the WBC eliminator match as a reward for wins over taurus sykes, julius long and robert hawkins sandwiched around a loss to his only legit opponent

But whatever your views on that, if the WBC tell him that if he wins this fight he gets a shot and then he wins this fight and has to rematch the guy, then wins that and STILL doesnt get his shot, that's ****ed up.

And James Toney is the most talented heavyweight out there, beating him earns you the shot.

Klitschko should fight an eliminator to face the winner of Maskaev/Peter. This is not fair on Peter, no way. And I'm not a big Peter fan, I wanted Toney to beat him. But this is bull****, the guy just keeps getting screwed by the WBC

What's sad, though, is that even though Maskaev is regarded as a tune-up, it would still be one of Vitali's best wins ever.

People that put down Sam Peter's resume should look at Vitali's as well. He never beat the man to get the WBC title. The best 'W' on his record is either Corrie Sanders or Kirk Johnson for God's sake, so Peter's win over Toney is comparable...

              or
              Peter
Peter earned it, Vitali can wait in line. This is how it should go, Peter fights Maskaev and knocks him out, and then give Vitali a shot. That seems fair enough.

I voted neutral. I recognize that Peter has earned it, but I'd also enbjoy seeing Vitali beat the **** out of Maskaev

Id say that Vitali is the bigger draw right now. This sucks for Sam Peter, but I really want to see Vitali fight. But I do agree that Sam should get to fight for the WBC after Vitali. Vitali vs Sam would be sweet.
