Why is it everytime Ricky 'the HugMan' fights...there is always some story about why he didn't look better?

They hand pick these bums for him to fight, guys who on paper he should knock out...if he is really the great fighter he and and his fans prop him up to be.

Instead,he barely survives...or is given the fight....and then the excuses come.

In other words...don't believe your lying eyes, believe our excuses.
Ok then...Ricky is great, the greatest of all time...he killed Collazo,he dominated Urango and held him because he didn't want to hurt him any more.
And those body shots...they didn't hurt Ricky,he was just just sneezing at the time from his chest infection...cough,cough...
Yes,yes...and Ricky really wants to fight Floyd Mayweather, lets hope he gets over his cold by then....

Well, or you could believe what Hatton says and the result of the fight.

Hatton didnt say that he had a chest infection. He didnt say that the body-shots didnt hurt, in fact he said the opposite.

The judges said that he won convincingly, only losing one round of the 12. Hatton said that he used tactics to tie Urango up because he felt that he was dangerous and durable and he didnt want to take any risks.

His record said that he is undefeated.

The analysts say that he is one of the top 10-20 boxers in world boxing at the moment.

Just stick to the facts mate, leave the conjecture for the idiots who cant debate without it. Opinions are one thing, just make sure that they are phrased as opinions and not mindless assumptions.

But now his dad Ray has revealed that the Hitman was on the verge of having to pull out after being hit by a chest infection 10 days before the bout.

And he claims this was the reason his son's stamina appeared to be a problem in the later rounds.

He told The Daily Express: "People have said Ricky looked jaded in the second half of the fight and I'm not surprised.

"Ricky suffered a really bad chest infection in the lead-up to the fight while out in Las Vegas.

"The doctor said it would linger for weeks. We carried on, but if the infection had started a few days later, we'd have pulled him out."

Hatton now has time to recuperate before his next appearance - against Jose Luis Castillo in Vegas in June.

That explains why he looked so weak and sloppy then.

Did I watch it? Of course I did.

Back to my question, you find that impressive?

Rounds 1-4, round six, and to a lesser extent rounds 7-8 were impressive. Round 9 was one sided and the next two rounds were also a shutout. I gave the last round to Urango as Rick slowed down the pace, but the first half of the fight was impressive.

Hatton won clearly...chest infection or not.

Judge him after he stops Castillo.

Yeah the first half of the fight was impressive I can live with that but the other half? . . . Crap. If you didn't read my first earllier post I'll post it again. A fighter who wins fights by hugging and clinching will never be impressive in my eyes.

I'll give you more examples dude. Calzaghe beating Lacy is impressive. Leonard beating Hearns is impressive. Arce beating Sanchez is impressive. The Corrales/Castrillo I fight is impressive. Now are you saying that the Hatton-Urango fight is comparrable to all these fights I have mention?

Be a real boxing fan son and not just a Hatton **** sucker. Watch more boxing fights so you'll learn which is impressive or not.

Do you know how to read? There's no question that Hatton won. The arguement is whether that was an impressive performance or not.

                      Now shut up!
