Man, that's just sad. Hamed turned into a shadow of his former self after the Robinson fight and just got worse and worse. He literally stopped training, and I think he fell out of love with boxing after the Kelley fight.

In his early career though, he looked a dead cert future all-time great more so than any other fighter in history.

The guy jabbed his opponent at will, threw the most ridiculous combinations I've ever seen and would go rounds without a glove being touched on him.

i think pac would maul hamed. he throws too many punches and is too active. hamed did have the power to ko anyone with a big shot but he had to catch them and they had to be playing his game which was try and slug it out with him , and while you were swinging for the fences you got caught with a big left, but if you boxed and applied pressure to hamed it gave him fitz until his opponents started to slip from the the game plan.

style wise manny beats him up, hamed has no inside game either other then hitting on the break.

I never seen that on a world class level though. I can do all that in the gym, doesn't mean I'd do it against Barrera.

Exactly, for the most part, Hamed was all style without the substance. I just can't see him fighting in a professional manner against a world class opponent.

I think the difference in skill level was immense. Prime Nas could just circle around and potshot Pac whenever he wanted. His awkward punching angles would definitely give Pac hell...I don't think Pac has ever faced anyone near as awkward as that and the only way to counter that is to be a technician.

Barrera's technical ability to counter Naz's fight was the only reason Naz ever lost a fight in the first place. I don't see how in the hell Pac could replicate a performance like that, he's not that type of fighter.

Well, Robinson had beaten COLIN MCMILLAN, PAUL HODKINSON and DUKE MCKENZIE, and it was Naz's first fight at the new weight. Steve-O just did not know what to do with the kid.. Naz fought him side-on, square-on, southpaw, orthodox, switch-hitting, leading, countering, everything, it was just sick - absolutely sick.

Kevin Kelly was able to KD Naz a few times (what was it, three?) I'm sure Pac would KO him.

Naz was difficult and had power, but Pac has been in with people with power (Marquez, Barrera, Morales) and has not seen the canvas in a looooong time.

Kevin Kelley was once predicted to never lose (in early 90's) - he was incredibly smooth and controlled, he was on some lb4lb lists in '93 and on every lb4lb list in '94, but personal problems got the better of him. Though in the build-up to the Naz fight Kevin said he'd trained harder than ever and was in the best shape of his life!

Naz said recently that the best fighter he ever fought was Kevin Kelley.

Naz was extremely skilful and really light years ahead of the other bantams, super-bantams, feathers and super-feathers.

I wouldn't put Barerra, Morales or Pac in the same bracket.
