Hatton by comfortable decision. He'd just maul Micky and he would beat him to the punch consistently. Interesting topic h owever...as Hatton has recently shown the weakness to the body and Micky was a hellacious left hooker to the bread basket.

Hatton UD. Hatton is too much too strong for Ward.

ehh... i think ward by knockout, but maybe hatton could pull off a decision.

            WTF???

            Ward was NEVER world class.

Hatton would beat him either widely on points or by late stoppage. There is no way that Ward wins, let alone by knockout.

Mickey Ward was a warrior, but that's all he was. I think some people are just letting dislike of Hatton (or ignorance) cloud their judgement by predicting Ward to beat Hatton.

I'll say the same thing I said the first time this was posted elsewhere: Ward is my all time fave fighter, but no way he beats Hatton. It would be an exciting fight, but Hatton would win a unanimous decision.

Hatton would have to box. Only a couple of fighters ever went toe-to-toe with the returned version of Ward and won.... Diaz, and I'm trying to think of someone else..... maybe he's the only one. Ward lives for fighters to try and grab and hold and fight him on the inside. Hatton can box, though, and make adjustments better than Ward- so Hatton would be favored. He wouldn't beat him easily, fighting the way he's fought his last 3 fights, though, I assure you of that. And actually that's true of most fighters at 140, it's not a slight to Hatton. Almost nobody fought Ward on the inside and beat him.

i love ward and i could see him maybe giving hatton a bit of trouble in spots but in the end it would be Hatton pulling out a decision cause i think Hatton would be constantly beating Ward to the punch

Its a tough one to call because Ward has fought the better opposition overall and Hatton has beaten one elite opponent and loads of hand picked punchbags (although you could be forgiven for claiming KT was past it at 36)

Hatton v urango proved just how bad he's getting these days with all his clinching etc. If I had to chose I'd go for Ward by late stoppage or points.
