It wouldn't be close at all. hatton by wide decision maybe even a shut-out. Did ward even have a prime?? i was entertained by his fights with gatti but he was an average fighter at best. -

I made this thread a long time ago, and everyone started flaming me because I thought Ward would potentially beat Hatton if they faced.
Ward hits harder, has a better chin, and has faced better comp outside of KT.

It definitely wouldn't be the blowout it used to seem to be. I saw the title and was surprised at my own uncertainty. Even if Hatton won most the rounds, they would be competitive.Comment

Since Hatton did outclass even an old Tackie....as well as knocked out Ray Olivera i'd have to give him more credit.
Ward went the distance with and gave problems to the best Judah version...who should be considered a rising superstar at the time, knocked out Alfonso Sanchez and Steve Quinonez early....and put up memorable performances against other solid opponents here in the States.
