No Hatton ain't washed up mate, he's just finally fighting better opponents on a more regular basis. Fighting beltholders in vegas is different to fighting bums at the MEN! plus Urango is a southpaw and a bigger guy than Hatton.
Hatton ain't washed up yet...dispite the lacklustre last 5 rounds against Urango...he easily won against a strong bull of a light welter southpaw...had a close win against a slick intelligent southpaw at welter in Collazo..there is more to come..however i think that he is on a gradual downward slide from the mountain of Kostya
I keep saying this but Hatton looked like he got hurt in the 5th. He came on strong in the sixth but was a different fighter and resorted to hitting and holding thereafter. The first four and the sixth round were vintage Hatton, and he looked sharp. Urango had no answer until he stepped up the pace in the fifth but then Hatton wrecked his chances by slowing him down in the sixth. I wonder if Hatton broke his left hand.
Hatton is definitely not washed up at all. He fought the exact same fight as I've always seen him. He's not fighting Sharmba Mitchell leftovers anymore & hasn't looked good. For a long time Hatton looked spectacular because he fought lesser comp. Now that he's started to step up (from Tszyu on) he hasn't looked dominant. Hatton clinches way too much for me; he was even clinching early. But after being hurt in the 5th he clinched far to often. Hatton was very lucky that Urango wasn't a good inside fighter unlike JLC.
