Hatton in his last four fights has not looked the same physically, by that I mean the way he moves and his strength and ferocity and stamina. It's blatanly clear that having ballooned upto 190+ between fights has taken it's toll..

And as for the opposition, Carlos Maussa is awful - I'd take Pendleton, Krivolapov, Magee and Phillips to take him to the cleaners. And Urango is awful, didn't you see the Rabah fight? And you'll see an old Mosley wipe the floor with Collazo next month.

Um how is he washed up when he's only been on the scene for 3-4 years? And I mean the real scene, not the British scene

He won a near shut out. He only clinched a lot when he had the fight in the bag. Ive seen him look better, but he didnt really need to go all out this fight. That and the last two fights he was facing southpaws. Hes not washed up.

It's called GEOF making excuses for when Hatton loses. It won't be that he ran into a better fighter in Castillo or Mayweather. He's telling us now that Hatton's washed up so now whatever Hatton accomplishes is considered overachievement. Complete bull**** job, but nice try GEOF.

I always liked Ricky Hatton...but the Hatton I watched tonight will lose to Zab Judah should they ever fight and I cant stand Zab.

            Just my opinion fellas.

He might be making excuses but he's right. Hatton's looking a long way off the beast he was a couple of years ago. Location has the square root of bugger all to do with it.

He definitely missed the boat a few years back, I don't think he'll ever back to the same old Ricky Hatton. He just doesn't look as strong as he used to, isn't using the leverages like he used to, isn't using the lateral movement on the inside like he used to, isn't doubling and trebling the hooks like he used to and isn't throwing the bodyshots and combinations like he used to. This is his last four fights I'm speaking of, he just doesn't look the same physically.
dont forget Hatton had a COLD, hurt his elbow, and did less sparring. and wasnt alloud as many fans in the dressing room.

and they both used 10oz gloves for the first time.

I've always been a Hatton fan,but to be honest i think he hit his prime when he fought Stewart and Oliveira. He was a clear winner tonight but no where near the same fighter as we saw 2 years ago.

Dude you forgetting this is just his second fight at this weight and maybe he is not as strong because he is fighting againts bigger stronger opponents. He has to adapt and he is winning. I thought he looked good againts Urango, definitely better than Castillo did againts whats his face. Based on what I've seen Hatton DESTROYS Castillo when they fight. Castillo looked weak and slow. Hatton looked to have more snap. I just hate all hugging he does lately in his fights. I don't know how he will perform in this weight class, I think he should move to his old weight, but againts Castillo he will win.
