    Man, Hatton is washed up..

    That was sad to watch.

He definitely missed the boat a few years back, I don't think he'll ever back to the same old Ricky Hatton. He just doesn't look as strong as he used to, isn't using the leverages like he used to, isn't using the lateral movement on the inside like he used to, isn't doubling and trebling the hooks like he used to and isn't throwing the bodyshots and combinations like he used to. This is his last four fights I'm speaking of, he just doesn't look the same physically.

Don't get me wrong, he'll still be very effective with his hand and foot speed but the old Ricky Hatton is gone I feel.

i agree. especially as long as his foot speed is geared towards jumping straight into a clinch.

Hatton is not washed up at all, he just turned 28, yes you can look better fighting against some bums, **** Taylor looked like the best fighter of all time against some bums, so we should consider Taylor washed up too..

I agree with Geoff Hayes completely. It's not about Hatton stepping up in competition, my gut tells me he would have been far more destructive against Urango a couple of years ago.
There were times in the fight where he did land some good body shots and got the leverage into he shots that used to come so natural. However the fact that Hatton actually seems to tire nowadays is a really bad sign for him, I think he will beat Castillo but I'm not sure how far he can go on after that. As sad as it is to say/think it, his last few fights have stunk of deterioration but I suppose it speaks volumes how comfortably he can win when he's still very far from his best.

No but when you gain 100 pounds after your last fight , No longer fight in the same style as you did in the past , Have to hug to catch your breath after every punch , it makes you wonder . oh and by the way that champ has only had 17 frickin fights .
