Toney uses weight training several years. I agree that lazy man is seldom overtrained. But the key is the new method he was using for the 2nd Peter fight. It's new and that's why it became alien. James approaches to his critical age but Blanks didn't help at all, he did the things even worse.

      I can't help but agree.

Toney should have stuck with the formula.

weight drain did ruin his nite
but it was peters weight drain
        peter looked great
        nice speed
        and obvious power
he should look at this tape and realize he doesnt always need to be swingin for the fences
he was hurtin toney when he seemed to least be tryin
and that KD was as legit as can be
        not only rule wise
but he hurt toney with that
not had him on dream street
        but it was just balance
in slow mo it looks like it was a push
        but watch it reg speed
it was one of those power punch jabs
        just came out
        and bam
        right one the kisser

Toney was never a heavyweight, he was an exceptional fighter around middleweight who got fat and became a heavyweight. This is what screwed him up, he lost his fitness, agility and punch power.

It says a lot about the standard of the division that Toney was still one of the better heavy's out there!

I dont know why people are saying that Toney wasnt as fat for this fight - he was one fat **** that weighed a pound more than for his last fight. If he had of come in a little lighter and had been able to move better then he wouldnt have taken as much punishment.

He's finished, anyway. Isnt a heavyweight, never was. Its a shame cos I love the guy, he's got such a great style and would be a problem for anyone. He should really be able to get down to light heavy but we all know he won't do that. Imagine Toney/Hopkins, Toney/Calzaghe, Toney/Jones Jr, Toney/Adamek, even Toney/Woods - these'd be great fights that I would love to see. But he loves dem burgers!!!!
