I love dana's marketing strategy for ufc, make it seem like a real version of pro wrestling with guys that would beat boxers in a real life fight. Well it has worked so far since thier ppv numbers are blowing boxing away. However, mma needs to beat boxing for the next 3-4 years before they officially become number one. Dana shouldn't worry though cuz oscar is leaving soon and they dont have a tyson type guy that will sell ppvs.

By the way, this isn't the 1st time ufc got popular. They were very big from 94-97 and got banned from cable by ****in mccain, it had nothing to do with people getting tired of it. They went underground for a good 4 years and got sanctioned again. Its not a fad that will die out, it is a sport that will have its ups and down. However, the main difference is that the general public are now questioning the legitimacy of boxers as legit tough guys cuz dana is doin a great job promoting his fighters as superior to boxers.

It is, i cant deny it. However, they have been bringing in alot of international talent within the last year. In 2004 and 2005, ufc was very white, i cant deny that.

You cant deny the fact that boxing tries to market latinos that are "white looking though", its a fact.

Mayorga and oscar are both latinos, but there is a huge idfference in thier facial featuers. Mayorga looks more native, oscar looks like a pure spanish/european type guy.

What? I'd love to know how u figured that one out. ur makin up a loooooot a ****.

Boxers are at the very least, 2x as tough as UFC guys. And thats mostly because they get more of an oppurtunity. 15 minutes of taking a beating proves nothing. try 12 rounds

This is a boxing site, i would not win an argument here. By the way, you are using alot more energy in mma than you are in boxing, thats why its 15-25 minutes in total.

King levinsky and john sullivan are two boxers from the past that challenged wrestlers and got slammed immediately. Everyone will question how a boxer does when he has to defend leg kicks and takedowns.

are u an idiot? do u honestly think that?

They get taken down because its not their sport. They dont know what they are doing.

It goes the other way around as well. Ur own boy Tito or whatever admited it. put him in a boxing ring he wouldnt last a round.

U think rolling around on the ground wastes more energy then boxing?

I hate to break to you the real truth, but they make the fights shorter only because they wear thinner gloves, and some SERIOUS brain damage would go down if someone took 30 minutes worth of almost bare fisted punches.

its not because they get more tired. lol

No, you are the idiot, an mma fighter is easily using more energy. Why should i even bother talking to you, you sound like one of those guys that just flips the channel and judges **** on the extremely limited footage of mma that you have seen.

Guess what dumb****, they are both sports but what happens when they meet on the street one on one, yeah the advantage is gonna go to the guy thats well rounded, not the guy that punches and dodges.

By the way, boxing does thier best to market the latinos that look white, its so ****in obvious that i shouldnt even have to explain that. Boxing is kinda turning white right now anways. I mean from 160-heavyweight, u have 17 different champs and 13 are white, 1 is latino and the other 3 are black. There arent any black champs from 105-130. So the only divisions where they really dominate are 147-160.

who cares what happens on the street. lol. thats the ******est defense i have ever heard.

And do u honestly think ur right? seriously, cause thats funny.

w/e no point in arguin with a guy that seriusly thinks he's right. No way of winning.

The difference is, you THINK ur right, i know as a fact that i'm right.

                    chew on that SUKKAAAAA!!! hahaha
