Do you know any upcoming boxers who you don't like, or who you are jealous of, so your trying to convince yourself they won't go anywhere?

Am I getting warm at all? What exactly is your problem with our sport. I don't care if your an MMA fan, but why the hell do you keep coming into the boxing forums and posting about it.

You obviously have some bitterness about boxing that is carrying over from your personal life and onto these forums, and I'm sick and tired of hearing about it.

When will this guy get banned for doing this?

You seem to take it a step further from just opening up a discussion to actually attacking boxing. While I believe in free speech, and you should be able to say anything you want, it's not going to make you popular on a boxing forum.

        Dog I love boxing!!!

I am just upset with the state it is in...is that wqrong? and many people are tired of paying 50 bucks for a ppv ok...

we want the free fights back, and free fights make more money because they bring in more sponsors.. but too bad promoters want the quick dollar.

he didnt even show the whole fight and it failed.

i thought contender would learn from this but they edited the boxing matches as well lame.

the ultimate fighter showed the whole fight in its entire shell and thats what got it fans...
why am i ignorant? cause i dont like UFC or w/e? Its an opinion... thats why nobody cares if u like boxing or not. it doesnt matter!

And yea, BOTH boxing reality shows blew. They werent good. But thats because of bad producers and the editing ******. They didnt even use prospects.

Look at it this way. Manfredo jr and Sergio Mora are fairly big draws. And they have done absolutely nothing to prove they are worthy.

This is the era of reality TV shows and they go where ever the shows take them.

However, When survivor came out. Millions flocked two it. it was amazingly succesful. Now its just ur everday succesful show.

Still up there in the ratings, but NOTHING like it used to be. The same is gonna happen with UFC, and its not even an insult to the sport. of coarse its gonna happen its a gimme.

they have like 5 fights aired on the free cards live!

Boxing you have to watch ppv, or order hbo....if boxing showed fights on nbc, fox, abc for free 1 a wekk then boxing wouldnt die.

but thats the problem greedy promoters wanting quick money from ppv.

Yes they do wait months for their favorite fighter to fight. All sports like these have that downside. But when you wait that long for such a short burst... And there are live HBO and SHOWTIME fights almost every week.

Then u got ESPN which isnt so good, FSN which is good but they only show holyfield and stuff, And now you got more coming out with VERSUS which is amazing and the UFC should take a note from what they are doing.

The rest of the post is hard to disagree with because its true. And its a huge problem. And once boxing gets into serious trouble, it'll fix itself. There are already kids who plan on one day saving the sport.

People have been calling for boxing's demise ever since it's inception and it has survived much worse than competition from another fight sport, so I'm quite confident that it continues to survive well beyond any of our own lifetimes...

Besides, there used to be a time in the early 1900's when catch-as-catch-can wrestling used to regularily play in front of live audiences that completely blow the UFC's own out of the water (upwards of 80,000). And I can also clearly remember when the WKA (kickboxing) first came into prominance in the late 70's/early 80's, was featured on network television with some regularity (not just cable, like the UFC) and it was supposed to be the "next big thing" in combat sports, or so they had us think...Where are those combat sports now?

Also if John McCain hasn't changed his stance on trying to ban MMA, and he gets elected to the oval office next election, well...good luck to the UFC (and other U.S. based MMA organizations) in surviving that one.

If you love boxing, try and frame your attacks in such a manner. Sometimes its hard to tell you like the sport with the way you champion UFC. Just sayin'.

that pisses me off. people who try to ban these sports when they have no right. Its personal choice. they have no idea how many lives boxing has saved, just by taking them away from the streets.

And If either sport gets banned. it would be UFC. FAAAAAAAR more brutal and far less safety regulations. They fight in a metal cage from christ sake. lol

The rules and safety precautions that exist today have placated him. MMA is no longer on his hit list.

A recent study by John Hopkins University actually found that MMA fighters suffer less brain injuries than boxers.

Well if McCain does get his say it certainly isn't going to be the sport of boxing that's abolished, as he's been a lifelong boxing fan and a vocal defender/supporter of the sport for a vast number of years.
