when ufc ppv is only 39 bucks!!!

and ufc did something smart they showed teh whole fight during there reality show...if the contender didnt edit there fights at the end you would see more people watchin git if they showed the full fight.

ufc perfected the reality show, something oscar and the contender couldnt do.

If UFC and MMA are so marvelous why are you posting on a boxing forum? It seems to me there must be hundreds of forums for such a vastly superior sport. You speak of boxing with an air of disregard, or lack of respect at best, so why not just drop it? Focus on UFC and stop trying to convert people. If you do like both sports, speak of boxing here and MMA wherever else you post. To each his own.

pancrase is a form of mma you can grapple,box, kick, wrestle...it was more ancient then boxing....

now it is back its the gladiators sport.

I will always watch boxing, I will always box while my health permits and I will always be loyal to the sport I love. I'm pretty sure there are many more guys like me out there who will do just the same. Boxing is safe.

no point in making a thread everytime 1 boxing writer or promoter decides to do a bit of mma on the side.
no one gave a **** when footballer curtis woodhouse switched to boxing earlier this year and I don't give a **** if a few boxing guys decide to earn a few extra bucks by expanding their market.

and i disagree. They had **** fighters on the CONTENDER. most of those fights were sloppy and dreadfully boring.

Editing was completely neccessesary.

BUT, if they did full fights for the first season, then hell yea it would. Those were some quality vets, and some especially talented prospects!

UFC may be going on the rise, and it may stay that way for a while, but that in no way means that boxing can't, at any time, make its way back up. We need good promoters, less scandals, the assasination of Don King, and better PPV's, instead of the crap we show now.

And when did MERCHANT say HBO was gonna promote MMA? He's not a producer for HBO, if the he knew then the public would know as well.

And BOXING will ALWAYS come first on SHOWTIME and HBO because the sport gives them plenty of money. MMA will fill in the weekends where there are no fights. Which is nice i guess, something to watch, but ull never see a BARRERA or KLITSCHKO fight go down the drain for a TITO fight.

UFC just markets itself better, Boxing supposedly is strugling and yet you still hear stuff like great fights falling apart because of money issues and promoters sticking their noses in everything, that turns off FANS!

People want the best fighters fighting eachother all the time and UFC atleast attempts to make that happen everymonth.

I'm honestly asking, why you want to see boxing destroyed?

Did you try to make it as a boxer and fail, and are now a mixed martial artist?

Do you know any upcoming boxers who you don't like, or who you are jealous of, so your trying to convince yourself they won't go anywhere?

Am I getting warm at all? What exactly is your problem with our sport. I don't care if your an MMA fan, but why the hell do you keep coming into the boxing forums and posting about it.

You obviously have some bitterness about boxing that is carrying over from your personal life and onto these forums, and I'm sick and tired of hearing about it.

i still dont see how someone can wait months for a fight that will last 15 minutes at best...

and they are usually one-sided. I dont see what everyone else sees...

Ask any diehard fan of each sport and 9 times out of 10 they are gonna say that Boxing at its best is a billion times better then UFC or MMA at its best.

The problem is, MMA or UFC is more consistant. ur not gonna be DREADFULLY bored by a fight (BROCK-IBROGIMOV) but that comes with the price of never being extremely entertained...

he didnt even show the whole fight and it failed.

i thought contender would learn from this but they edited the boxing matches as well lame.

UFC puts out like 1 ppv a month and 2 fight cards for free on spike tv!

they have like 5 fights aired on the free cards live!

Boxing you have to watch ppv, or order hbo....if boxing showed fights on nbc,fox, abc for free 1 a wekk then boxing wouldnt die.

but thats the problem greedy promoters wanting quick money from ppv.
