I think Oscar has a good punch, too, but what fight are we citing to make us believe Floyd has a weak chin? Because there's a good chance when Oscar lands it won't be flush, so as long as Mayweather's beard is decent there's no certainty that, when hit, he goes down.

DLH cannot KO Floyd with one punch. Have you all forgotten that Floyd has a great chin himself?
Your gonna tell me that he can put Mayorga down with one punch, one of the toughest guys in boxing but he cant put floyd down PLEASE!!!! Zab almost put floyd down but he luckily caught himself on the canvas with his gloves, which by the way wasn't called a knockdown.

DLH will be as motivated as ever, and at this age, he is as ready as he will ever be. There's no one that could prep him for Floyd anyway except for what he can do in training camp. Mayorga fight will have been about a year ago by the time DLH and PBF fight, so of course that doesn't factor in, even if Mayorga was a slick fighter.

Pound for pound, Floyd is better but he is losing speed as he goes up. He can not get Oscar's respect as far as power is concerned.

Oscar will get hit. He will, however, continue cutting off the ring and coming forward. He will land a hard right hand in the midst of a combo that will hurt Floyd. Once that happens, it will be the beginning of the end. Oscar will jump on the wounded Floyd and give him the 1st loss on his record, by stoppage.
NO NO NO NO NO....you have lost your mind...dont let that Mayo **** fool you....

Floyd has an exceptional beard, particularly with the way he keeps it tucked. Its very hard to land cleanly on Mayweather because of the positioning of his chin. But on the rare occassions when he has been caught (Corley, Judah), he has shown that he is still a mortal in there inside all of that armor.

My prediction has little to do with the Mayorga fight.

Floyd has a good chin. He's going to make Oscar look bad at times I think, but I'm picking Oscar to win by Decision. I think floyd will resort to throwing 1 punch at a time and riding the bicycle. Oscar will win more rounds because he'll be the busier fighter...and I don't see how Floyd can keep him from impressing the judges if he keeps throwing the jab and making contact to the body. This fight could look very similar to Whitaker v.s. DLH but as for the topic:

yes it's possible for Oscar to knock Floyd out. I don't see how anyone thinks it wouldn't be......If the same left hook lands that landed on Mayorga, I'd say it's close to goodnight. I don't want to hear about how Floyd's chin is better than Mayorga's either. compared it's relatively unproven but still decent. Nothing that would make you think it could hold up to a punch of that caliber.

Its not often that Floyd allows his opponents to throw more than one punch while he's in range. DLH will be no exception, especially considering he has such a power advantage. If DLH KO's Floyd it will NOT be by setting Floyd up with combinations, it will be with some kind of counter, probably the left hook. I think some of you guys are wishing that Floyd gets KO'd so badly that it makes you think irrationally (like thinking DLH is going to land in bunches).
For you to compare Zab to De La Hoya is ridiculous. Oscar has a much better jab than Zab and is bigger and stronger. He is also a lot smarter and mentally stronger than Zab. Zab isn't any where near Oscars league.

The DLH-Mayorga KD was clean. I think it stunned Mayorga that DLH was so quick with the punch, not hurt by the power of it. The KO was obviously an accumulation of punches. PBF was obviously off balance when Judah knocked him down. It should have been ruled a KD, but you're kidding yourself if you think it had anything to do with the power of the punch.
