Yes and ppv should be for fighters in there prime fighting the best and the undercards should show future ppv fighters. Do you watch boxing? Do you not agree? If u think its ppv fight I should ask you. Do you watch boxing?
Then it would be worth $50 , but honestly maybe a few years back this would have been an interesting fight, but not now, I'm gonna give Mayorga the benefit of the doubt and say he can put a shot Vargas away.
i'm taking Mayorga by TKO/KO, period, early, mid rounds, or late, it doesn't matter. if mayorga lands one of those wild left hooks it's staggersville for Vargas, and mayorga knows how to finish. i see mayorga bullying vargas throughout the fight.
i'm not a fan of either but i see mayorga being the fresher of the two, the more durable and aggressive.
This isn't even a ppv undercard fight. It should be on BAD OR ESPN

Because i watch boxing......becaues i know who Vargas and Mayorga are........because i know how they fight and what they bring to a fight......I disaggree with you that this is a undercard ppv fight, or a espn or bad card. Its a Hbo or Showtime maint event fight, prime time.
Do i like the idea of it being on ppv no. But people will buy this fight. Vargas is not just a popular fighter selling out arenas, but he is also bringing in good ppv numbers when hes up against another fighter. If the idea of not buying this fight hasn't hit you yet. Just wait till these two start talking **** at press confrences. This will be one fighter that Mayorga better be carefull with the **** he talks, caues Vargas wont' put up with Mayorgas ****.
Now, some of you are saying why make this fight when no one moves up the latter after they win. And to this i l.o.l. Because, i hear all the time from Floyd fans and Margarito haters, that to fight an elite fighter you must be a known name, be a marque fighter - winner and loser fits the bill so win or lose they are still up to the standards to fight an elite fighter in there next bout....
Fernando Vargas will take on Ricardo Mayorga in what he confirmed will be his last fight
the fight is scheduled for june on HBO PPV with the weight limit 162 give or take a pound
This doesn't sound good.
I've cared for Vargas the way that Jim Lampley does.
When Tito punished Fernando I took that hard.
Same thing with Oscar. I almost got into a fight with some dude at Hooters who was gloating about Oscar's destruction of Feroz. I walked though because my fighter got whooped. You'd have to be a puck to argue with the truth.
I'm a Vargas supporter so believe me when I tell you Fernando should have retired several fights ago. He looks like he's 90 compared to pre-Tito Vargas.
His speed and reflexes are destroyed.
If this were the 40's or 50's Fernando would already be dead.
He could be seriously hurt or worse, if he continues.
Mayorga has enough power to cause injury. I don't like it.

Mayorga is made for Vargas. I don't see Mayorgas wild style land many punchs on Vargas. Vargas is past his best. In the 40s-50s he's be a stronger fighter fighting at his more natural weight - they had less weight divisions. And i aggree he should retire.
If they decide to drop this from PPV I'd see it...but I can't pay top dollar to watch two shot fighters in a meaningless fight. Too many good PPV's lining up for 2007.
