It was a programme called 'ProBox' that was the only programme that screened boxing all over the world - and Eubank was the face of ProBox.

David Brenner and Jim McDonnell were the first commentators (89-90), then Barry McGuigan joined the team for the Benn-Eubank fight (Jimmy and Barry would swap each round) and McDonnell left after Eubank-Watson II, leaving Brenner and McGuigan.. but when Eubank signed his big deal with Sky Sports (who weren't afiliated with ProBox) after the Ray Close fight in Belfast, ProBox lost tonnes of viewers and went bust within a few years.

Ofcourse, Eubank was also the main male attraction of ITV (one of four terrestrial TV channels in UK, second only to BBC1), drawing viewing figures of over 20 million (when UK's entire population was only around 50 million) to watch him vault over the top rope. So in the UK Eubank's fights were live on two different channels at once (ITV and Eurosport - ProBox transmitted to Eurosport) with two different commentaries, which was cool. You could switch between the two, if you had Sky TV (which had Eurosport).

Joe Calzage is a great boxer. He has beaten a hell of a lot of good opponents. Its just a shame he hasnt already got guys like Glencoffe, Tarver and Hopkins on his record. Its a shame really. That sneaky Hopkins stealing Tarver from Joe Calzages record. Tarver was held in high estemm becoz he beat RJJ. I always believed Tarver to be overrated and Hopkins sensed this and snuck in front of Joe. Silly boy Joe! You will have to have do with beating Hopkins now if u can still get him.

I really like that avatar as well. LOL
