No one is jumping bandwagons, we are just following him closely. I think the fact that Tito is gone, we are waiting for his replacement. Cotto for now has the torch so it's basically a RAZA thing. However he can kick ass. He has been wobbled and prevailed he has been outboxed and still manages to ko the opponent. So it's not overrating it's just knowing when we have a prospect.

Yeah, he's still a prospect like you said. That's why I don't get people saying he's already a P4P level fighter. He has a lot to prove still and people still question his chin...

          Stop Overrating Miguel Cotto
What is being over rated in the first place? Is it number of followings? Is is the number of believers?

The guy is unbeaten and he has a belt dude. And the fact that he is willing fight big names like Margarito, Williams, Judah or even Mosley spells the difference.

Stop the bull**** arguement of "who has he fight" crap. Because that lame never ending arguement applies to all, not only to Cotto.

Who has Floyd fought? Who has Hatton fought?

There are a lot of people thinking he is the best at 147 after one fight in the division. I consider that overrating him and he has yet to step up to the highest level of competition.

I give him props for wanting tough fights, but I disagree with people who consider him an elite fighter already.

The thing is Cotto has never stepped up to elite competition but he himself is considered elite. That's why it's important to note his best win.

Who has Floyd fought? Who has Hatton fought?
I'm not a big Hatton fan, but at least he fought a respected champion in Tsyzu. Cotto's best opponent is probably Chop Chop. Can you see why it matters who he's beaten?

People who calls Cotto the best at 147 at this point are blind fans dude.

For me he has just stepped out of the "prospect stage" and I like him for going straight at Margarito although we all know it won't push through.

My point is he is willing to prove himself. That's all. I always separate the FACTS from the HYPES.

What's his best win? Quintana? Quintana's claim to fame is beating Joel Julio and Julio is more suspect than prospect.

Torres? He has power and that's about it. No stamina and can't box that well.

Corley? I can't even give him credit for that win considering the fight was stopped prematurely not too long after Cotto got buzzed.

Let's see Cotto beat someone that matters before people start thinking he can beat all the top dogs at 147...
Huh, another Cotto over rated thread....... So its ok to hype Williams who has thirty something fights and never been in a title match but Cotto is over rated? There are some double standards here.

My question is; if Cotto beats Judah, will he get P4P consideration or would he just beat a fighter with two straight losses. If Cotto beats him by quick knockout i think people will just assume that Judah was done.

                    Sin, shut up.

Everything you type is just an extension of your warped agenda.

Baldomir sucks, Williams is unproven, Floyd ducked Margarito. End of story.

This coming from the guy who said Juan Lazcano deserved a shot at a big fight... about a week before he lost to Vivian Harris. Another example of your overwhelming knowledge of the sport. Perhaps, just perhaps, its you that should STFU for a while.
