    Doesnt have the speed?

"He was much faster than I thought"

I would imagine there are a lot of guys who could beat Mayweather if Mayweather was gentlemanly enough to give them the chance. Mayweather is good and has beaten some good fighters, but there is always someone around the corner to humiliate you.
Cotto isnt the only one who could beat him. There are lots of fighters who think they could beat him i would imagine. But obviously fewer who do have a realistich chance.

Well, that's fair- I haven't been in the ring with Miguel...

        If that's a real quote you pulled, that's a body-shot to me..

          Cotto hater, no.

Cotto is not very good, that's all.

I don't pick horses- they pick me.

Cotto was in no way/shape/form talking ****. He was simply stating that he thinks he can hang with or beat anybody. Talking **** would look like, "Mayweather is trash I'd crush him"...but that's not what he said. Gotta love Cotto...great style, always comes to knock his man out, very humble.

I have been saying Cotto could potentially beat Floyd since day one so my opinion hasn't really changed. Also...that Quintana quote is accurate. He stated that his power wasn't more than he thought it would be, but Cotto was much faster/quicker/whathaveyou.

If it ever happens- let's see if the guys who think Cotto can beat Mayweather will put REAL money where their mouth is...

This is all talk, right? Tell me this is just talk..

If anyone has a shot to beat Floyd while he's still in his prime its DLH or Cotto. Both are strong enough to slow him down, fast enough to hang with Floyd enough to have a chance to land a few hard shots, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, understand how to box. Margarito is strong, Spinks is fast and knows boxing, Mosley is fast and strong, but its going to take a whole package to beat PBF. IMO, Cotto has the best chance but maybe not for another year.

I like Cotto. But he can't beat Mayweather.

I like Cotto's skillset in this fight. The man cuts off the ring better than anyone in boxing and he's the best bodypuncher in the biz. The last great bodypuncher who understood how to cut the ring off and get physical was JLC. He was also the last guy to really give Floyd a run for his money.

Cotto is bigger, stronger, he is very skilled, and he knows how to cut the ring off. He is VERY heavy handed and causes his opponents damage even when punches are blocked and taken on the arms/shoulders. I think he has the goods to get the job done.
