2... If Tarver hit Stallone with REAL punches there is no way in this world that Stallone at age 60 doesn't go down, out, or wobble badly.. you are INSANE if you think otherwise....they couldnt have a steady flow of footage because every time Tarver landed a solid punch filming would have to stop instantly so Sylvester could clear his head... jeez, man..don't let Hollywood just tell you anything and you believe it. There is not a real boxer in the world that thinks anything other than the truth in this matter
3. If they made a movie in a few years about the current war in Iraq with a ficticious president in office now but they made references to the current George Bush in office then that would throw the movie off... you couldnt help but think about the timeline.
That's all.
WHY do you keep trying to argue with this point when no one is disagreeing with you??!?
The fact is, Tarver was making contact with Stallone, and Stallone was making contact with Tarver.
Were they full on punches?
Of course not!
That being said, Tarver still knocked Stallone out a few times in filming.

PB, I replied because you said I was lying if i didn't feel emotions during the fight scenes..and I had to let you know that I felt none at all.....I didn't see it like you did, thats all.. i also know that you guys say Stallone got knocked out because you read it somewhere, in articles they want you to see...they can say ANYTHING THEY WANT, that doesn't make it so.....they used to say Robert Deniro was good enough after making RAGING BULL to be a real life middleweight contender..it adds to the movies mystique, they know whwta they are doing and they influence guys like you, that's all. PS, lol, heres another for you... Marie was about 14 or 15 in the original Rocky when she told Rocky "screw you, creepo!" That was back in 1975..... she's 36 now...meaning she was 5 when she said that to him. UNREALISTIC AND i am no wofficially boycotting all Rocky sequals as a result LOL

It's a damn movie fellas !
Whats with the Siskel & Ebert breakdown and nitpicking. Creed as Ali ? who gives a **** ! The real Ali being part of the Rocky Series ? Who gives a **** ! Fight scenes and bloody faces not being realistic ? who gives a **** ! It's a movie. If I wanted to nitpick and pick out all the flaws in this movie I would have logged on to a ****** Siskel & Ebert website.

If Hollywood thinks anybody with a boxing background is going to believe for even one second that 60 year old Sylvester Stallone could take a real punch from Antonio Tarver without getting knocked OUT, buster up badly etc etc etc, than they are even caught up in the world of make believe that I ever thought possible. Now, the two biggest flaws of the movie (and otherwise I thought it was pretty good) are these. 1st.... In his prime Rocky's face, even in winning, was beaten to a pulp by Creed, Lang and Drago. Now at 60 years old he goes distance with the reigning world champ, a guy 33-0 with 30 KO's, and all he gets is a bloody nose and lip and a cut around the eye??? Annnnnnnnnnnt! And 2nd.... in this movie they refer to George Foreman winning the title at an advanced age over Moorer and they reference Muhammad Ali by face and name.... Well, where was Ali in the world of 1975 and the original ROCKY? Creed WAS Ali.....even boasting in the original about being "the greatest of all time!!" Where was Foreman in all this? In 1975 Creed was 48-0, the unbeaten world champ, so he must have been champ for a while seeing as how famous and legendary they made him out to be in that movie. If that's true then why was Joe Frazier, introduced in the first film, as big and famous of a fighter as they made him out to be? Where was Ali and Foreman in that world? Foreman came back to fight Moorer in the latest movie..... but when was he the champ in that world? They made a HUGE goof IMO of mentioning Foreman and they never should have made Ali out to be a real person. That messed it up bad to me.
I haven't seen the movie but you make a great point.
