Super lightweight... it never amazes you that every time someone makes a sports related movie, especially boxing, they always talk about how real it was or how the star could have been a pro if he wanted to etc? No boxing person (a pro fighter, namely) is believing that craziness. They leak things like that all the time to hype the movies, that's old news. Were you there when Tarver supposedly KO'd Stallone? OF COURSE YOU WEREN'T. You are doing exactly what they wanted people to do, spreading the nonsense to hype the movie. Antonio Tarver would very likely PERMANENTLY harm Sylvester Stallone if he ever really hit him. Tarver hit Stallone with 10 ounce gloves and didn't break his jaw, slice his face open, knock teeth (of a sixty year old man) out? Didn't break his nose? Please.
ROCKY BALBOA, the biggest problem....

Picky? LOL Nah, man. but come on.. u are watching ROCKY all these years assuming Creed IS Ali...and now you find out Ali really did exist in that world...and Foreman did, too????? I mean, a movie is a movie..but come on for such a BIG movie you would think they would try to not overlook blatant stuff like that
I see your point but I dont think Stallone had it planned this way. Just like that sleazy promoter in Rocky 5 who was suppose to be Don King. What was the sleazballs name again ?Comment

Wasn't Apollo Creed based off of Ali. Why put Ali and Foreman in it then why didn't Rocky or Creed fight them fictionallyComment

The point is that they can make another Rocky and, even with plot holes and logic failures, have people watch it. They make money- and people talk about the theatre liking it. They don't need to make the movie logical, or well written...they crowd they appeal to just wants to see one last Rocky.Comment

I read that they wanted to mention and reference Creed in this movie but carl weathers wanted way too much money just for some small snippets, so maybe they mentioned ali, foreman to act like creed didnt even exist because they couldn't use him. its not like people wouldn't still see the movie, but you are right they kinda goofed and got caught in a lie or contradicted the whole plot of the entire series. but movies are movies can't take em too serious.Comment

I was just going to say that.
That just shows the difference between a boxer and a person who boxes.
And Ice, they were actully connecting, but they werent connecting with full power.
And if your telling me you sat in that thearter with no emotion or feeling of adreneline running through your body during the final fight scene ill flat out call you a liar.Comment

The point is, Ice that Tarver wasnt going close to all out, not even at sparring level and STILL knocked Stallone out bad.Super lightweight... it never amazes you that every time someone makes a sports related movie, especially boxing, they always talk about how real it was or how the star could have been a pro if he wanted to etc?
