I didn't think he lost to Reid, it was a close fight but no way did he lose it.

And FYI, the Robin Reid that fought Calzaghe would have knocked any form of Jeff Lacy out. Lacy got an easier version of Robin Reid, if you watched any of Reids earlier fights you'd know first hand how talented he was.

No version of Reid would've knocked Lacy out, styles make fights! I'm not the only one had Reid winning, more then 50% of British fans also had Reid winning the fight!

80% of all statistics are made up, I know more people who scored it for Calzaghe than I do those that didn't.

Some didn't even think it was close, alot gave Reid more credit than he was due for being the challenger.. and styles do make fights, which is why Robin Reid would have put Lacy on his backside.

I've seen polls from British boxing forums that had Reid winning the fight against Calzaghe. Reid was never good, nor is Lacy anything special, but Lacy will always beat Reid, I don't care if it's today or 10 years ago.

even though calzaghe has been cherry picken his whole career and has built his record on guys that either aren't/weren't ready for him or guys that were pass their prime.

at least he acknowledge's this one with Taylor not being ready yet. Taylor has got great tools and great skill (soon to be great skills), but he isnt ready for a fight with Calzaghe because up to this point Taylor has been lucky in his last 4 fights and Taylor has been fighting mostly Jr. Middleweights his whole career.

two gifts against Hopkins and a razor thin draw with Wright, then he was unable to put away Ouma(who has the best chin around next to hopkins and toney and lacks defense unlike hopkins and toney, thats a solid chin) but a fight with Calzaghe even on US soil would probably be obvious that Taylor isnt ready to fight that kind of fight.

at the very least Calzaghe is speaking truthfully, although it's kind of hypocritical the way his career has been then to say this, and with his bout coming up against manfredo, but i'm glad that he isnt trying to exploit another young and inexperienced fighter. taylor has experience but not the right kind. **** taylor can't win a fight without the judges, he hasn't done it in his high profile fights. at least joe makes it obvious who won when he fights even if joe lets his opposition win a couple of rounds, at least you know who won without debate, at least lately, taylor on the other hand has 3 fights that people to this day argue about whether or not he deserved the win or not.

no **** i think Taylor wil beat Calzaghe anyway. Joe has some pop but he wont be able to take as many punches from Taylor as he did in his last fight. I think early Joe wins but gets ****y and gets koed in 7.

Maybe its a ****** thing to get all pissed off about, but if he were to be preparing to fight a guy like Kessler or Wright when he made the comment about Taylor, then I'd be ok with it. I guess it's the fact that he said it as he is preparing to fight a guy of lesser skill than Taylor.

Calzaghe is taking all the momentum he built up after his win over Lacy and pissed it away.
First Kessler isn't a draw in the US, and now Taylor (who is a huge draw in the US) isn't ready for him yet.
It seems ole Joe has an excuse for anyone who might actually give him a tough fight.

But, of course, in the meantime, Joe is going to fight Peter Manfredo!

What an arrogant prick, now he decides who faces him? **** CALZAGHE.

                    I haven't found Joe to be a s-talker.
I'm willing to accept what he's saying...

Although Taylor has already established he can go through guys with amazing skills. So then again: Calzaghe has to be wrong about that..

Joe is not trying to kid anyone that Manfredo is the greatest opponent in the world. But many a great fighter in history have slipped up against fighters they should and were expected to beat.

Joe i am sure will get down to business after Manfredo. If he doesnt then you can talk ****e about him.
