I would think in a street fight its a toss up because most of the time when people streetfight its all striking. I understand where you are getting at though.

In a streetfight I believe a boxer would have an advantage, because if a wrestler comes in for a takedown a boxer is better at striking to prevent it. A good uppercut/hook and the UFC guy is out, plain as day.

I fought a very good wrestler once. He pushed me, then I broke his nose and cut his eye with one punch. He then took me down quickly but he was so ****ed up from the punch I was able to withstand the choke for about 30 secs, then he was ready to quit to lick his wounds.

Boxing will never die and I could careless if UFC has more fans or not, I'm pretty sure that figure skating probably have more fans then Boxing.

the reason mma is so popular is because they say its the closest thing to a street/real fight that it gets.
