Mayweather, Pacquiao, Taylor, Hatton and Cotto.
but the fans love to see augustus, just like they love gatti, another "old guy". it's about ****ing time augustus got a strap, even though today's alphabet soup belts are worth **** all.
i love to watch augustus, when he does the "puppet stuff" and still schools and humiliates the other guy he's in the ring with

as you can see i am a big fan of the e-man. but i am also not biased. emanuel is a very skilled boxer that has been robbed alot. not to say that he has lost fairly. did u ever see the alex trujillo, emanuel schooled him so bad he never fought again. and if im not mistaken alex was in the top 10 at the time, while emanuel was unranked.

emanuel still has it and if it wasnt for his horrible record he would be fighting the top fighters right now. i really hope he gets another title shot but as far as fighting fighters like ricky hatton i doubt he can win, but who knows

Is this really that illegal that it deserves an instant deduction?

"Augustus penalized one point in 8th for spinning himself out of a clinch."

Augustus wouldn't have to worry about the quality of the judges in any undeserved fight with Hatton. Hatton would give him a brutally one sided beatdown. Witter and M'Baye would beat Augustus as well. They're both fast and quite powerful.

The sad thing is, Augustus has talent, but wasted it years ago. Given some proper guidance he could have done well. Now he is a journeyman, a dangerous enough journeyman for sure, but not someone who deserves a title shot.
I've been watching Augustus for years now. He's my second favorite fighter right now (after Cotto) but I look at boxing with unbiased eyes.

If Augustus has time to train (a normal 6-8 week camp), I think he would be a 3-2 dog against Hatton (meaning he'd lose 3 of 5 fights). Those are very good odds.

You must know that Augustus has made a career of taking fights with less than one week notice. He also used to smoke pot ALL the time and was thus not prepared for many of his fights. A well-trained Augustus is top 3 at 140 pounds. I think he's actually #2.
