Which just illuminates how inconsistent and messed up the "theory" of race is. People use it and don't even realize what it states, why it was created etc. I see people on this forum of hispanic descent calling themselves latino and refering to it as a race, which it isn't, at least not by the common theory of race. There are three races according to the race theory that many buy into today: negroid (black), caucasian (euro, latino etc.) and mongoloid (sounds hilarious and constitutes asians).
In reality there's a bunch of race theories, all of them BS IMO. When people can change categories around on a whim and claim mexicans aren't white but are their own race (which would be news to me) it just shows you how shallow the roots of this whole racial science really dig.
What does white mean? I mean many asians have white skin so maybe we should consider them white as well. Or should white only mean italian, irish, and english, if even soviets are not "white"?
Who knows? It's all bull**** anyway.Comment

I agree in some way to all the posts.
The heavyweight division has obviously evolved the most due to the lack of weight restriction, obviously the likes of Dempsey, Marciano and Sullivan etc where by today's standards tiny and more likes Cruiser/Lightheavys than the fighters we see climb through the ropes these days.
However weight and size isn't everything, I mean Ali when he fought Liston was around 210lbs which by today's standards is tiny yet he beat the much bigger man by speed and skill (some would say other things as well)
Joe Louis fought around 200lbs for the majority of his career, Floyd Patterson was under 200lbs and a modern day fighter like Holyfield won titles at around 210 early on in his Heavyweight career after leaving Cruiserweight.
Obviously the boxers from years gone by had physical disadvantages but they were arguably tougher and more determined due to the times in which they lived so......
I would pick Marciano over a much bigger Morrison any day but I could see him having a real hard time with the likes of a Vitali Klitschko!Comment

"The Caucasus or Caucasia is a region in Eurasia bordered on the south by Turkey and Iran in Asia, on the west by the Black Sea, on the east by the Caspian Sea, and on the north by Russia. Caucasia includes the Caucasus Mountains and surrounding lowlands."Well the thread topic is white heavyweight, which means anyone of "caucasian" ethnicity of any kind. I don't buy into the theory of race when but if you call someone caucasian and use the "three races" category system this includes soviets, italians, mexicans, etc. Bonavena would be a "white" fighter as well.
Thats what the world knows thinks when someone says "caucasian race". A man I worked for was Indian. And he said that he is caucasian as his roots come from Caucas. Makes plenty of sense to me
Now tell me if a North American will ever call a ****** Indian a caucasian man.
Only when I came to Canada did I realize thats a term for "white" people.
And its a fact there different races on European territory. It's all in DNA. Like a recent study of Ukrainian peoples DNA that showed more commonalities with west/central European DNA then Russian DNA, which had a lot of commonolaties with central Asian DNA.
Scandinavians look very different from Italians and the Spanish. So do the Slavic ethnicities. The French as well have a distinct look. So do the people of the British Isles.
Coming from Europe my self I never had a problem of telling were people are from simply by their looks.
Only in America do they think that all "white skinned" people are the same thing due to the concept of the "melting pot". However that doesnt mean that the whole world thinks that way.
I as a Ukrainian feel no racial or ethnical relation to say an Italian. We look different, speak a different language, have a different culture and a different religion. The Italian will think the same way. However a North American will see them as the same "people".Comment

you got that wrong. there is many races. but they come from three brother who are the son's of Noah PBUH.Which just illuminates how inconsistent and messed up the "theory" of race is.
