You must have lost a lot of money.

Here's your homework for the weekend. Study the Clottey fight. And pay attention to what i pointed out the previous post and see how Margarito sets up his punchs. See how he keeps his opponets guessing what he's going to do next, which punch of his is harder then the other. Why you think Cintron and Clottey were on defence so much.....besides the fact Margarito doesn't stop punching they don't know which punch is the ko punch.

      !!!ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

I have come to the conclusion that ferocity is actually Antonio Margarito, because only Margarito would believe half of the **** that comes out of his mouth.

Seriously though, you say his style doesn't work for everybody. I can agree there, hell it barely works for him. You also said it gets the job done, do you honestly think that lame, no movement, hulking, looping style would get the job done against the best pound for pound fighter of the last decade? Floyd will pick him off all day IMO.

I've been trying to tell people that for a long time. He has got to be Margarito.

And that was funny as hell.

              re ferocity:
margarito is looking to be no more then a club fighter. he is not a well school fighter for sure.

have you seen when he throws a right hand he doesn't pivot on his right foot, instead he takes a step forward on his right foot ( he puts his right foot in front of his left) and he turns his head right into his opponent right hand. clottey was counting beautifully with his right hand everytime margarito would make that move and that is only one of the few things he does wrong.

this is so true about the Gatti/Baldomir fight. People cant put their and Larry Merchants preconcieved notion that Gatti is washed up and worthless aside long enough to WATCH THE FIGHT.

Then again, it IS going a bit too far to watch every fight twice, but if you dont then dont be so adamant and hateful with your opinion.

Seemed to work for guys like Ali, SRL, B-Hop, RJJ, PBF, etc. Lets see how many guys become among the best ever by throwing wild hooks and hoping their opponent is still there when the punch finally arrives.
See, this just tells me how new you are to boxing.

I never said i would like a fighter to throw punch like Margarito does. But i said they can pick up some of what he does in the ring to get their win, to make a fight less borring.

You see, what Mayweather did against Baldomier was punch and run.

Add what Margarito does and Mayweather would be throwing his jab out numerous times. He would use combos to set up another punch or to set up his opponet for a ko. Im not saying Mayweather should use the same technique but he and others can see what he does and apply it to there style.

I've never ever said Margarito it the best techniclly sound fighter. But he does some smart things in the ring. Too much people don't take the time to study his fights to pick up on things i've picked up on. Look from the outside, Margarito does look like he's throwing bombs just to throw them, but look closer and you'll see his looping punchs he get hated for is a set up for his other punch or to set him up closer to his opponet or just to move his opponet one way or the other.

Take the time to study any fighter, see there fighter long enough and you'll see things they do that the ordinary eye doesn't catch. Plus, not to bragg, but being in the gym before allows me to have some insight to what he may or may not be doing. But the best way to see is to study his or any fighters fights.

Anybody can point to Margarito and say look, he throws ugly punch, his wild. He doesn't know what he's doing. But these are the same people that don't take a chance to study his fights.

At the end of the day its all my opinion. Margarito will do his thing, and sooner or later people are going to hate him even more for his winning ways or there going to see what his style is all about.

You tell him, he throws punchs just to throw punchs and im thinking he'll laugh at you. Any good pro will tell you they set up punch all the time, of course the counters are somtimes just pure instinct.

I'll just say this, if people doubt anything i've said about Margarito, then just take a few looks at his fights. And remember, these are my opinions.

No I'm not going to lie to a bunch of people on the internet. No I don't watch fights twice unless they are really close (Taylor-Wright) or if they just happen to be on again. I have a life and don't devote all my free time to boxing.

And anyone who really thinks they watch every single fight twice that they have opinions on is a liar. You can't tell me you watched Briggs-Lyakahovich twice and expect me to believe it.
