A more controlled version of Soliman - wouldn't hurt if he was a bit bigger than Soliman as well, who's pretty small for a middleweight.

Ideally a middleweight version Aaron Pryor.


PS. Although Ouma's busy enough I think he's too one-dimensional to give Winky that much trouble
- with Soliman it was really strange angles along with the sheer volume that troubled Winky, but he didn't have the power too make it stick.
Taylor had the power & the volume, but I thought that very few of his punches actually made it through the guard, & Ouma doesn't have Taylor's size or power.

Trinidad and mosley and Quartey didnt have the power they had at welterweight and such.

But Taylor landed some hard punches against WINKY's guard that jarred the guy off balance! and he was able to land some big shots by knocking WINKY's arms out of the way

only thing about that is taylor is about 10-12 lbs muscle wise bigger then winky.. he doesnt punch that hard just heavy and fast not explosive so it moves you around the ring instead of blowing you up ..he also telagraphs evey punch so wright can brace himself even more.. the weird thing is now wrights actually hurting people .. he hurt mosley trinidad tayloy and quartey.. quartey who claims hes undefeated and been robbed for each of his losses had no ill feelings at all toward wright after the fight knowing he was clearly defeated.. id llike to see oscar try.. i dont think floyd would stand a chance..

Counter punching is a good idea. But person has to have the speed and patience (and a good gaurd themselves)

That's the whole thing, you have to show patience, cause if you open up against Wink you are just gonna expose yourself and get hit without hitting him very much.

Plus Wink is a lot faster than people think. Taylor was surprised how good his jab was.

From what I have observed. I think a belly shot could work. An uppercut right on the belt line.

Wink Has his Guard over his face and splits his elbows down to his sides to protect his ribs. That's why and uppercut right on his stomach would work, and even up under his gloves to his chin if you punched hard enough.

But uppercuts are really risky punches anyway, takes a while to get the punch in and you open up your head to all kinds of counters.

Get inside, pull the gloves apart...you have to swarm him. This is one fight I would OK the grappling since I think Winky has an unfair advantage with the gloves he uses...Just think, if this was a fight on the street, and Winky didn't have those gloves, could he block all those punches without his gloves?

Every time I see a fighter just try to box, the punches are usually blocked.

With all that time you spent in Juniata I know you wouldn't think to fight in the street with a style like Winky's.

His liver appears open and he does get countered straight down the pipe sometimes but thats about it.................

Winky 'The Walking Rope-a-Dope' Wright has great defense but there are ways around everything.
Marciano against LaStarza continually ****** the arms of Roland and destroying them, then he got through to Roland. This is extremely difficult because stamina and power are huge issues, but it can be done as was proven by the Rock.
Make the walking rope-a-dope open up and attack. Taunt him, make him angry, play possum, do whatever you have to do to make him attack. Then counter and don't let him curl up like a turtle again. If he does, you have to take it to him and get his gloves apart so you can get through again.
Battle of the jabs. Winky has a great jab but show him that he can't win using his jab and have him resort to other punches which will leave him more open.
Give him angles and try to get around his arms, to his sides, and attack there as well.
Or just try and get between the gloves using uppercuts and jabs.
