how can u get threw winky's defense and be successful?

i watch him fight and i have to say if i fought him i would just counter all the time,in which u have to be quick to do.

i also would slip to the left when he throws his jab and throw a compact hook as i pivot to the left.even if he puts up his hands it won cover his ear fully

That would be something to try. More than likely you will have to swarm him and bulldog him. Quatey has the skills to win but he did not have the output. Wright threw over 1,000 shots whereas Quartey threw about 350 less. In order to beat Wright you are going to have to match his output. Fighters that can do this are Margarito and Ouma.

De La Hoya's power and size might allow him to get a victory over Wright with as many punches as Ike threw.

You have to take the fight to him nonstop. A guy like Calzaghe or Tarver would give him problems, Calzaghe because of his activity and Tarver because of his length, and straight punching combos. The Tarver that fought Glen Johnson the second time around was a punching machine. That exact replica of how he fought would be how one should fight Wright IMO. He never stopped throwing straight punching combos over and over, some of them were pitty pat and others had a lot of steam on them.

nobody hits hard enough to get through .. taylor couldnt get through trinidad couldnt get through mosely couldnt get through..ike couldnt get through ..there 3 of the hardest technical punchers p4p that there are and he stood rght there blocked there punches and countered them right back with flush shots.. he wasnt as polished vs vargus i thought he still won that fight... he would walk down calzaghe easily and tarver has no right hand... some one like naseem hamed who moved and had one punch power.. moved like soliman a southpaw and can crack .. but hes one of a kind and was only a super feather...

Trinidad and mosley and Quartey didnt have the power they had at welterweight and such.

But Taylor landed some hard punches against WINKY's guard that jarred the guy off balance! and he was able to land some big shots by knocking WINKY's arms out of the way
