My bad guys. I guess it wasn't really a factor. I just found it strange initially that no one brought it up at all.

Margarito is still the man though, and beat yet another decent opponent. Unsurprisingly, people are trying to tear Clottey down like they did with Cintron after Margarito beat him. Cintron was one of the most promising welterweight prospects until Margarito wrecked him but everyone has forgotten about that.
what about people regarding Mayweather ducking margarito even though he faced many of the top competition and they for lie coming out Arum made Margarito worth 8mil

It is nonsensical to say that a top 5 fighter in any weight class is a C- fighter, unless you are discussing heavyweights. Even then, it's a stretch. Your mind has sadly been clouded by those who appreciate Tony's skills, as well as those who overrate his skills. These men have made you bitter for no real reason. Don't let others affect you in such a way.

Clottey's hand injury is null and void now as it has been discovered also injured his right wrist in the fight.

Since we were talking about 'excuses'.

Floyd came back right after that fight to destroy Castillo
Hah. Well at least I know I don't have to take you seriously anymore.

Also, it's very interesting the rhetoric about Margarito. I can't wait to see how people will react if Williams beats Tony. It will be a Boxingscene parade. But parades shouldn't be thrown over beating a 'C-level' opponent now should they?

Some of you are going to be made to look like fools in the near future.

I think Clottey is not getting enough respect. People are like "Clottey did so good because Margarito is overrated."

No, Clottey did good because Clottey is GOOD.

Has anyone watched Margarito fight before? This is not the first time that he was outboxed early on. He is a known slow starter and usually gives away several of the early rounds.

I have 20 of his fights and it was like many of his fights.
I would love to see his "slow starts" against PBF garner him a few 10-8 rounds.

Nobody is bringing up Tony's injury bec. it wasn't a serious injury which handycapped his performance, as Clottey's.

Espinoza dijo que Margarito fue al hospital porque le dolía la mano y no se quiso tomar riesgos.

“Pero no esperamos que sea algo serio."

Margarito is a C-level fighter and the only ones who don't see it are the guys watching his fights with Margarito-vision glasses on. He has looked great against bums and looked like **** against any decent challenge. The only fight I give him props for is Cintron, but even that is marred by Cintron having a nervous breakdown halfway through the fight. Margarito has struggled with fighters like Danny Perez, Daniel Santos, Sebastian Lujan, and now Joshua Clottey. Those guys are C-level fighters at best. I can understand styles make fights, but how do you explain a guy struggling against 4 different styles of C-level fighters?

Margarito didintlook any different injury or not, hes not good, i dont care how you spin it. When Clottey injured his hands, he was VISIBLY a different fighter, margarito always looks like this, just stop it already, hes C fighter.

You use such extreme terms about a guy who hasn't lost in 8 years 1t 47, and somehow I'm wearing rose-colored glasses? Get serious. He did not look like '****' and he hasn't only looked great vs 'bums'. Bums are guys with 19-12 records. This does not make the majority of his success. Again, you are overstating your case. RING Magazine doesn't rate you top 5 in ANY division if you are a C-fighter.

You are the one who isn't seeing things clearly, plain and simple. As I said, you've let Margarito's more extreme fans cloud your judgement, which is unfortunate.

="I'm going to go ahead and speak for Margatito and assure everyone that Margarito's wrist injury affected his performance in no way, but Clottey's hand injury without a doubt lost him the fight. Margarito is a low level fighter who is lucky to have ranked top ten at 147 at all."

The guys he has beaten have nice looking records on paper, but who have they beat? Who is Sebastian Lujan's biggest win? What was Clottey's biggest win? You could even look up who they've fought on BoxRec and you still wouldn't be able to come up with a good answer. These guys are all C-level fighters for that very reason. And when a guy like Clottey is struggling with an unknown like Richard Gutierrez, you're not gonna convince me that now Richard Gutierrez was a top fighter and that's why Clottey struggled. Cut the BS already...
