ANSWER: 720,000 reasons to be called ******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    It's very simple.

The offer for the Pacquiao rematch was an insult.

The offer was then off the table.

Marquez decided to keep his principles and walk.

He ended up where he ended up. He made his choice and HE lived with it.

Very seldom that both fighters get the same amount. Belts these days don't mean much. It is who the bigger draw is that makes more. People buy PPV, and that is where they get the fighters' purses.

These are just the facts of what happened then and that's the issue here.

Now is a different story. Marquez would probably take less now, but he didn't have to then.

          admit it mang!

marquez priced himself out of the rematch coz he's afraid of PACMAN...
if he gets KTFO, thats it! its goodbye for him! marquez is only protecting himself for an early retirement and besides boxing is only his means of livelihood and cant afford to go on fishing everyday...

and why should he receive the bigger slice of the pie? he got KDed 3x!!!
he got lucky that dubious ref cortez didnt waive him off during the 3rd knock down...

            Whatever.

It is what it is. Marquez chose. At least he's in a position to choose as such, unlike the rest of us.

              Really.

You can't price yourself out when you're not even being offered that much in the first place.

Marquez didn't come out and ask for three million or anything. Just to be paid as a champion should. Pacquiao was being paid as a champion and he wasn't the champion.

It's really pointless to talk about this if you're going to look at it only from one angle.

Alright man. I can see trying to explain this is a waste of time. You obviously cannot see, despite it being shown to you, why that situation came to pass.

                    End of story.
