There is no case for pac being number one.
    Nothing changed.
Floyd beat the undisputed welterweight champion 12 rounds to 0 and Pac knocked out Morales AGAIN.
Morales is 1 and 4 in his last 5 fights!

What has he done to consolodate the status since?

Shot Gatti, shot Mitchell, overrated Judah and Baldi vs. (okay, shot) Morales by KO twice, Oscar Larios by points and also going the distance with Morales.
Judah isnt overrated, and Gatti wasnt shot.
Pac has done nothing to deserve the number one ranking.
He faced Morales again for no real reason, when it was clear who was better.
Morales was more shot than any opponents Floyd faced.

This is arguable to the point of opponents nowadays more than skill. So what if you got skill? If your *****ing out and using it against guys you KNOW you can't lose to, what's the point? Then you got Manny who has never hand picked his opponents. He'll face anyone anywhere. Has only tried to face the best possible and doesn't go around preaching he's the best P4P like ****** Floyd does. Yes I call him ****** because he's so aggrogant, he'd rather tell you he's the best p4p rather than let the people. How about we put Floyd at #1 the next time he faces someone that he knows he can lose to? Oh wait, that'll never happen. If there's a 5% chance he can lose a match, he won't take it. He's *****Boy Floyd Mayweather.

But you can't honestly discredit a fighter like Erik Morales... the 1-4 in the last five fights shouldn't make a difference in this case..

and while i think its up for debate..

          politically? the top goes:

          1. PBF
          2. Pacquaio
          3. Wright

          by my top 3 goes:

          1. Wright
          2. Pacquiao
          3. PBF

Nope unless PBF loses to oscar, he should still be at #1. However Pac is a close second.

At the moment, the poll says YES.

But is it just a case of there being more Pac fans than PBF fans?

Seems to me that this question is only being asked because of Pac's win over Morales recently. But we all know now Morales was indeed a shot fighter. So the fight proved nothing.

Was this question asked after he beat Morales in their 2nd fight?

Pac is being credited for a win over a shot fighter, but PBF was critisized for a totally dominant win over Baldomir. Too me there is little difference between both fights.

People are still excited about the Pac-morales fight and still disappointed about the PBF-Baldo fight. given time, people will come to their sensis again

I think that because of Pacquiao's oposition youd almost have to give him the number one spot.
