Klitschko has won five fights since losing to Brewster if my memory is not completely failing me today.

Edit: sorry, I see you meant that the first of those two were not fights of significance.

Even if Klitschko rematch's Sanders and winds up defeating Sanders, some boxing fans still will not give Wlad his props.

Well, I won't. Sanders is an old man.....to say nothing of his inactivity and lack of conditioning even when he was active.

He's got a punch and that's about it......and I hear his chip shots are ****ty too.

It's a loss loss fight for Wlad.

Sanders is a nobody. He left defeated and is coming back from retiring.

He has nothing to offer. Nothing.

With the state of the division its a move in the wrong direction.

Wlad should unify, then fight for his pride by taking on Brewster and Sanders.

Fighting non title holders is the wrong move for Wlad. He should fight title holders and bums in between as tune ups.

Besides wtf is Sanders going to do? Wlad knows what to expect. He'll just make Sanders look much worse then Vitali already did.

Sanders is just trying to cash in. Must have failed to qualify for the PGA or something.

Or Sanders should simply earn his shot.

Has Wlad made any comment on this yet? I think it's pretty clear in his mind that he only WANTS to fight other champions. Why should he face Sanders? Sanders hasen't even been in the ring for the last several years. Wlad's the future of the heavywieght division. He should just stick with his game plan and let the past go.

                  Agreed.

I do not know if anybody has mentioned this, but Wlad might need this to help his Psyche: If Wlad wants to really feel like he cannot be beaten again, feel like the true Champion, he will rematch Sanders. He doesn't really have to rematch Brewster, since the loss was more Wlad's being blue in the face before even being hit, but that would be good too. Sanders defeat though, was the real deal.

However, facing Sanders again or even the possibility might work against Wlad since the loss was devastating and he might feel he has no answer for it. But, he does have Steward, so maybe it will be different.

Remember, Lennox Lewis was "great" because he avenged his losses.

I can agree with this view also: Boxing is in need of a Unified Champion, and Wlad is already set in doing it, so why change course now.

Lennox Lewis beat countless better fighters and fought at a very high level for a very long time. Klitschko has Byrd and an old Mercer on his record, that's it. I don't mean to keep bashing the guy, but when people keep making sweeping statements, I can't help myself.
