well, id rather have Wlad fight Sanders than ****ing Ray Austin...since apparenty hes the IBF mandatory...these people in charge of the belts are ridiculous

how about we see how good he looks in his comeback fight before we start debating if he should get an automatic shot at the champ...

Can Wlad eat 3 or 4 surpise left hands like his brother did?

Can Wlad stop the left? I think Corrie is one opponent Wlad and Manny would love to avoid at all costs.
Totally agree. Sanders has very quick hands and he's got a great reach and that southpaw stance. Of all the opponents Wlad could take on right now, I think he would be the most dangerous.

Offsetting all that is the fact he's old, rusty and probably out of shape. But if he can bring just 80% of what he brought to the first fight, Wlad would have to be very careful. I personally think Wlad should just wait him out (i.e. til he gets too old or taken out by one of the lesser guys). As a fight fan though, I'd love to see Sanders get another shot.

Sanders has always been a fighter that most want to avoid. His natural power and quick hands have been a curse, because he learned to rely on blowing his opponent out and not going the distance with a gameplan. He's a notoriously under-trained fighter.

I'd love to see him get a crack at his old belt. Imagine the first 3 rounds of Sanders v. Briggs. Fun stuff.

Um Lewis defeated Morrison who was never very good. Frank Bruno who was overrated. Ruddock who also lost to Morrison, Holyfield who was over the hill at the time. Barely survived Vitali. Was given a gift decision in the Mercer fight. Beat Akinwande by DQ who is a ****ing scrub. Michael Grant who was exposed by Golota.

Lewis best wins came against Tua, Tyson and Rahman only after Rahman embarrassed Lewis 7 months earlier. Lewis was great, I was a fan of his but please do not discredit Wlad's victories just because you dislike him. Wlad beat some good and dangerous fighters also.

Lack of respect is what I chalk it up to. Wlad became arrogant and was looking ahead at his fight vs Lewis. Sanders was supposed to be a warm-up to Lewis. Wlad even mentioned it once before. He never watched any film of Sanders fights. He went into that fight not knowing anything about his opponent. Foreman also called it. When Wlad was standing during the refs instructions, Foreman said that Wlad looked very dry and did not look properly warmed up. When Wlad realized that Sanders punches like a ****ing mule, it was way too late already.

You are correct!! Just watch some of Sanders fights. He would throw close to 60 power punches in the first couple of rounds and would look to land a couple and knock his opponent out. The guy never paced himself properly. Hardly ever threw a jab. He blew his load early against Rahman and ran out of gas. Rahman and Vitali TKO'd him strictly because Sanders did not have anything left in the tank.
