And hey, it is my right to have my own opinion so leave alone with your disgusting " criminally said". In boxing styles make fights that's why you cannot give a scientific ranking. If I had a ranking to do, I admit it would be totally subjective because it would be based on the fighters' skills and styles. A forum's purpose is to discuss and argue, not to grouch.
So what if he dominated Byrd? Newsflash, Byrd wasn't even that good! What makes a fighter great as opposed to good is the ability to overcome adversity more than anything else. 1) Vitali has never overcome adversity. He's quit. 2) He's never won over anyone who he was considered an underdog against.

It is downright criminal to say Vitali is top 3 of all times. You ask if i'm mad or if I just hate them? My question would be, 1) Are you sure it's not just your love for him that clouds your judgement? and 2) How long have you actually followed boxing? No one other than a stage 1 nuthugger would even dream of thinking of saying Vitali is in the top 3 of all times. It's ludicrous and makes me question how much you understand about the sport of boxing.

Vitali would trounce any heavyweight of any era bar His borther(the current form).
Winning comfortably against Lewis? Would 'trounce' any heavyweight in any era? Wow, the klit nuthuggers get worse by the day. But I do remember you saying Wlad is the greatest of all times and he's best P4P in the world. So i'm used to laughing at these posts by now.

is there any other fighter in history at any weight that lost to the 2 best opponents he faced but would beat every ATG fighter at the weight?
My man Ricky Hatton!!! Haha. "The greatest WW of all times".

that was due to injuries ffs. He was up on both score cards and never rocked. Both were out of his hands.

Its like saying vitali destroyed corrie sanders and yet corrie beat wlad, therfore corrie legacy better than wlads.

Face it, Vitali would ping any heavyweight of any era, to strong and athletic. Only injury could stop him.

Good post. People fail to see that an injury free Vitali is close to unbeatable.

when the fight was over vitali lost. period. the lead doesn't matter. Go back and watch John Tate defend his title against Mike Weaver. Tate won arguably the 1st 12 rds and got KTFO with 35 seconds left in the 15th.

Best you can say is Vitali might be up after round 6 vs every HWT in history. But when you can't beat the 2 best you faced its hrd to argue they can beat the very best ever.

Based on his wins over Briggs, Charr and Chisora.

As if I haven't said this enough LOL!

Vitali Klitschko, IMO, belongs to the top 5 if not the top 3.

Why does he belong there then?

                Simply because styles make fights!

Vitali Klitschko has the most awkward (to deal with) and intelligent style in boxing history IMO. You must also take in note that he was at his peak during his 40's and not when he fought Lewis contrary to what some wright in here.

Just look at the difference of style between 1996-2004 and 2008-2012. Vitali came back with a beautiful style and kept on improving his athletical skills. Will we see a still a prime Vitali Klitschko in 2013? If he didn't slow down I think yes!

And yes, Vitali Klitschko would give Joe Frazier a beating. You just can't compare them physically!
How on earth can anyone have Vits in the top 15 let alone top 5? His resume is incredibly weal. Anyone can say he'd beat this guy or that guy, but greatness is reserved for those who actually beat the best. As far as his style goes....its hard to believe Primo Carnera revolutionized Vits style. Watch them fight...same exact fighting style.

Injuries are part of the sport along with durability and heart. Against Lewis he wasn't durable enough to continue, against Byrd he didn't have enough heart.

Man, if Vitali beat Lennox, I think everyone would be thinking differently. It's crazy how one fight can define your career. If vitali was able to beat lewis, I think people would be discussing him as an ATG. Instead, people use the Lewis fight to insinuate that he's never beaten an elite opponent. There's an arguement for that. People look at his resume and they see the losses to Lewis and Byrd (a pretty small HW)

And yes I know his two losses were due to injuries. But a L is an L. The expectations are high if you want to be an ATG.
