- -Letter of intent by the Chinese overseers wanting positive international exposure is a done deal. They couldn't have it with Tiananmen going on, hence a perfectly natural disaster in Chinese Communism resulting in a US travel ban and trade sanctions followed by the Buster diaster punctuated by the orchestrated long count.
If Mike didn't go to jail in 1992 what changes in his career?

You must have seen the juxtaposed video that confirms the two counts were delivered at the same pace. --- Whaen Dougles regains his feet at ten he was slumped shouldered but obviously clear headed - when Tyson rose at ten he was confused and off balanced. The counts were almost identical the fighters look quite different once regaining their feet; one was ready to continue the other not.Comment

My question is why would anyone think it was "orchestrated"? Tyson was everyone's cash cow. Anyone involved with him stood to make more money from him beating Douglas than losing. Now had it been Holyfield or Foreman if they could have made that fight there would probably be huge money in a rematch. But Douglas? That makes no sense in my opinion.Comment

True there is no obvious motivation to protect Douglas - to repeat myself the fighters had two very different looks about them when they rose. If I had been the referee (HBTR) I would have left Douglas to continue and I would have protected Tyson by stopping the fight.Comment

I think he was doing that because that was just how he was living his life by the end of the 80s regardless of Douglass. You think the guys around him in '90 were as protective of him as Cus was?Comment
