All three fought guys worse than Bean and you know it.
You are missing my point. Perception is reality, and Butterbean was perceived as a sideshow, not worthy of their time. Me agreeing with that (which I do) is irrelevant.

Because bean was unorthodox and would probably make them look bad for a short time. Bean was so heavy the trainers and managers would be afraid he could injure them. They were not afraid of bean as a fighter, but bean would have nothing to lose so that makes him dangerous as in injuries to his opponents. Bean did not have a large following at the time because the internet was not up back then. An old Holmes picked him apart when he was way over the hill and bean knew that he was really nothing in boxing so he moved on. Bean was never ranked anyway. Because he was white there was hope that he could do good but fighting four rounder's is not going move a fighter up in the rankings.

And not fighting any top contenders or names wasn't going to get him a big fight either.

Butterbean turned pro in 1994, Jack Sharkey and Jersey Joe Walcott died in 1994. Very convenient. The old "I'm dead so I can't fight Butterbean" excuse.

                How do you explain that????
Not just these two, some guys like Joe Louis died even decade before just to avoid fighting him. That’s some tough duck.

Yes, and Bean was a superstar of boxing.
                  He transcended the sport.
A pop culture figure of his era whether you like it or not.

                  By who? You? lmao

The general public doesn't care what boxing hipsters think.
Bean was far more well know than lennox louis ever will be.

So why did Lomo get a title shot after 1 fight?

Why did Leon Spinks get a shot at Ali?

Why did Ricardo Torres get a shot against Cotto?

Tyson fought Mcneely. Bean stopped Mcneely in a round.
                    So why not fight Bean?

The wba had a guy (Ali Raymi) who was dead in their rankings.
Until it got pointed out to them.

The wbo did the same thing in 2000. With a guy called Darren Morris. He even got moved up the rankings whilst being dead.
