Where do you rank Wlad all-time?

Was looking at the IBRO list of greatest heavyweights and was surprised to find Wladimir Klitschko ranked 18th on their list. I myself don't think much of his competition, but his longevity and dominance surely should have him ranked in the top 12. I believe I have him at number 10 all time. Where does Wlad rank for you and why?

Maybe in the lower end of top 25. He wasn’t the most skilled fighter but he learned how to fight behind his jab and do more with less. Many of his wins were purely by size and weight advantage. When he got tagged on the chin his spazzed out and he clinched just a bit too much for my liking. If you watch old footage of Primo Carnera you’ll notice many similarities in their style and of course size in relation to their opponents.

I've always equated Carnera to Vitaly style wise.

Many greats didn't have a great skill set to work with, and Wlads size surely played into it, but that really isn't his fault. I would say Wlad had very good skills, bit not the sheer determination of other greats. How longevity is astounding though. After he (Manny) developed his boring style he never really got complacent and was always focused. And as much as I'm not a fan of that style of fighting I find it admirable to stay focused for so long. Only two other champions can claim that.

The IBRO doesn't like modern fighters. He's a top ten guy, period.

How do you rank a fighter?

              On title defenses?

              On longevity?

On reaching a pound for pound status?

              Head to head?

I think Wlad is top ten in each area.

honestly Wlad was only a champion because somebody has to be a champion. I don't think he really beats any other great heavyweight in history, so I can't rank him that high. The 2 fighters that knocked him out cold look to me like the 2 best fighters he ever faced, then later in his career he loses to the 2 best guys today, which once again in my book are mediocre.

Not forgetting how he re-invented his style midway through his career to find the success that he did. When Wlad got blitzed by Lamon Brewster in 2004 or knocked down by Sam Peter 3-4 times in 2005, don't think anyone would have given him a chance to become the Unified, Lineal champion with a dominant 9-year reign. One of the great success stories in boxing, very underrated. Went from "chinny Euro" to one of the most dominant Heavyweights in history.

I thought his brother was better than him.I never rated him but he was effective. That height and style would beat many Heavyweights of the past that I rate over him so for that reason he has to be top 11/12 easily .However, I want to put him at 49th place ,1 in front of Butterbean because his fights bored me
