How is it going to hurt his legacy if it isn't his fault? You can't force guys into the ring with you if they don't want to fight. If anything it should hurt their legacy not Floyd's.

I don't see the McGregor fight as a negative. Floyd is at the end of a long career and has earned the right to cash in with easy fights and exhibitions if that's what he wants to do. Just like other great fighters before him did.

Well I never made any claims about them either. So I don't know why you're mentioning either of those names. This is about Floyd not being known for beating the best at their best. If those two guys didn't either, then they won't be ranked as highly as the top all time greats with better resumes either, now will they? I'm not really seeing the confusion here. Floyd was highly skilled and had some good wins though. I've never tried to claim otherwise.

Mayweather SHOULD NOT have backed down from men when they were dangerous, just to get more money or show how powerful he was. His corps of rap fans were not bothered by this--he was still the greatest to them. Trouble is, they were not real, permanent boxing fans anyway. They were coattailers, along for the ride. Now they are dead of dope, old, or living out of forgotten dumpsters, and do not decide historical legacies, which is done in places like this very thread.

Mayweather and Jones both loved to play the public for a fool and disrespect them. Their mediocre opponents were actually a taunt toward the public. They could get away with anything, they thought. But now we know their legacies couldn't. Both men appear to have had a chance to become TBE at their prime weights, but neither did, by wide general consensus. Both are fortunate to make the AT top 10 at their respective prime weights.

Because that's who was mentioned in this thread, so I chose to stay on topic. If I admit that Dempsey and Locche's resume's were good, but not great, can you also admit the same about Floyd without acting butthurt?
