Mayweather's legacy is easy to discern, 1/2 billion dollars.

Dempsey put 126,000 in a stadium one night, (and made over $800,00 for that night's work) . . . Floyd Mayweather walked away with close to 100 million (PPV) for one night's work.

In prize fighting that's what legends looks like.

You guys keep thinking that great boxing skills are mandatory to being an ATG prize fighter, there not.

This is prize fighting with emphasis on the word prize; we keep score by counting the dollars.

"Money" is one of the greatest prize fighters ever.
If you judge his career solely by monetary standards he is a stand out. Money does not = greatness. Mike Tyson earned more than any HW fighter, he certainly wasn’t the greatest HW ever. There are twenty or so quarterbacks who earned more than Joe Montana even when adjusted for inflation, most of them were nowhere near as great.

Floyd’s legacy is hinged upon two things—highest earnings and a very carefully navigated career that resulted in an undefeated record. There is a lot of context and far more to the story missing in between.

The thing with Floyd is that he made the most money AND he had the best skills of his generation.

So any way you slice it he was the complete package.

          - -Being an AAA+ sissy ain't sliceable, it's factual.

Let's face it, he represents that hip hop, light in the loafers, soft lad of his generation.

Hip hop bothers you, does it?

            I'm not surprised.

What's the point of posting something as ludicrous as that? Deontay Wilder benefitted from 40 dives????? How disrespectful to the boxers who got in the ring and took those blows.

Come on, bro. You can do better.

But hold up, pard. Cherrypicking is a boxing skill, too, and I dare you to find someone more adroit at it than Lil' Floyd. He never made that misstep that all others made except Marciano and Calzaghe.

MW fought better opponents than Calzaghe, so I reckon he is the more accomplished cherrypicker. Mayweather'm, the midgets' master, is cherrypicking's all time champ.
                  Sad but true.

Most of the people who hate Mayweather seem to be completely irrational like that guy.

Floyd Derrangement Syndrome is very real.

Mayweather was close to complete. He was everything but a fighter.

To even be considered for the position of TBE, it takes stellar competition. It does not matter why you did not fight them. If you didn't, you don't get the credit. Period.

His china mitts cannot keep Pryor off him, since it was all he could do to squeak by Castillo and Maidana, who were not near the AT status of Pryor.
