    Here is the blurb confirming the price (second to last line of article) but offers no other information.

    He also bought wife Estelle Taylor a Rolls (I think $15,000) sometime around 1924, but I can't find the article again.

    Later, just before Tunney I, Kearns was able to get the car impounded for a while, (law suit) they grabbed the car while Dempsey was training and the wife couldn't hold off the local Pennsylvania sheriff; the car was in her name, not Dempsey's. She got it back.
