Oh wow! Look who was a good boy and earned himself some Screen Time! See what happens when you don't smear your sh.it on the walls, and you sort the paper clips just like they ask you? Keep up the good behavior and they might give you a real job: like making lamp shades.
Before your session runs out and it's one of the other Looney Toon's turn to jump on the computer, can you give a quick play-by-play of the Cerafino Garcia victory over Billy Conn, or maybe Basilio's victory over Fullmer? Either one, i'm sure, will be great!
I guess half the inane garbage you spew you forget, mercifully... Sure wish I could forget. Sorry, trombone you get called on your BS... In this section at least. But thanks for the RD Lang write up... As I am sure if I was schizo I would be the type to smear away.Comment

Seriously though: I think with Dempsey he experienced some revision... Not a bad thing. There are those pundits who feel he was a manufactured product, like Klompton.
Dempsey was intelligent enough to write, what is perhaps the definitive tome on punching for his day. This suggests he knew his craft intimately. I also think the big picture sometimes eludes many who hold a strict view that will not change. Most heavyweight champs, even some of the greatest did not fight the best comp. That is a fact that hardly only applies to Dempsey.
On average, a human being sized to the average, will determine the sheer volume of talent in each division. The lighter and middle divisions have more sheer numbers and therefore more talent latent within those numbers.
We get more competition in these divisions as a Consequence of this situation. In Thai boxing the heavy weight title holder is not even considered the champ... it is the middle weight champion that gets the privalege.Last edited by billeau2; 07-23-2020, 02:45 AM.Comment

Dempsey was extremely fast, an extremely hard hitter and was over the top aggressive looking to engage and knock out every opponent. Dempseys will to win was second to none. No matter how much of a beating he was taking he was there every round trying to kill you.
Many misinterpret Dempseys reign because of a lack of historical knowledge of the time and of heavyweight boxing leading up to that time.Comment

Meanwhile, I can find a bunch of sources for the offer that Willie Pep says you are confusing this with. Coincidence?
A 1920 offer makes no sense because, as I already proved to your dumbass, Dempsey was still knees deep in the color-line protection program as he stated plainly. Learn when to admit you are wrong and stop embarrassing yourself.Comment

Oh really? Why did one other member expose that you are wrong about it, and why are you unable to find even one more source for this offer?
