But by all means if you have any proof of cave paintings that predate Mesopotamia feel free to post them.

You asked me a simple question and the first thing I did was give you a simple answer no? I am asking you a simple yes, or no question: Do you understand the distinction being made between generic forms of fist fighting and what we call "Boxing" according to the OP's point of view...Not asking you to agree to it! Lets make it really simple...Yes or No? I do not know at this point if you just feel as though answering this will make you lose a point lol, if you just want to bust balls, or what. You won already ok lol... Like you won all the other debates, this is just the clean up crew making a point for forensics lol.
Shoulder my old man used to have an expression he would tell me when I was "winning" he would say "You know son...You can win all the battles and lose the war." Know whatimean?Last edited by billeau2; 06-15-2020, 06:19 AM.

I understand the distinction but we don't know enough to assume that Mesopotamian boxing was just a generic form of fist fighting. Those wrestling and boxing styles could very well have had an influence on any that came after in that region.

Anyway, the photo in question is this:
If the embed doesn't work: https://archive.org/details/agean-soldier
I can not upload page 69 for you as a seperate upload because the photo of the boxer is page 69. It's not numbered, but, if pressed to I would be willing to provide a series of photos showing the book open with the page numbers. This is 69. So I don't know what the author from that website or the preview you have online or whatever is looking at, but, this is definitely page 69.
edit- that's confusing, I meant 69 isn't numbered, 68 and 70 are though.Last edited by Marchegiano; 06-15-2020, 04:57 PM.

Is that the Minoan armored boxer that you were referring to? The one you said was our first or oldest bit of evidence for fist fighting?
