    The Beast from the East!!!

I was never impressed with Nikolai Valuev as a fighter, but I have just become a very big fan of his after reading this article. It humanizes him into something more than a giant or oaf. I do believe I'd find it a privilege to meet him.

If by "whooped" he means "lost to" then I agree with him.

            - -Nico and King made out like bandits leveraging the Field name like King did with Norton on Tubsy next two undercards.

Field got 75k - expenses of flying his team to Switzerland. Of course Ken never so weakly as Field left boxing on his own terms. Field like Tubsy took the Goldie Oldie tourney way out.

Them Ruskies Ibragimov and Nico never wanted to be the one to cave in the unlicensed Field, so they just pittypatty him to take the easiest $ they ever earned. Nico rebelled at first until King read him their contract spelling doomsday unless he capitulated.

An interesting aside involving stereotypes is how we think of smart people and dumb people. Obviously intellectually you, or I, even Queenie on a good day when the Gerital comes in on time...can understand that smart people come in all sizes. Yet we think of small people, Poindexter, as being brainy and large people as being dumb. Its just a reinforced stereotype more than that we "think" this way, but it is constantly reinforced.

Actually bigger people generally are more prone to a greater intellectual capacity. Many very large individuals, per the population size of such individuals, are very intelligent. So it does not suprise with Valuev. A great example of this, was the big "Baldie" in the movie the Wanderers. You will recognize him in an instant below:

This guy, I forget his name (too many concussions oy vay!) But: He had an IQ that was off the charts, he was a world class Opera Singer, chess player... Lol.

                    - -Was U one of the special kids I used to drive to the pool for recreation?

Good kids all and a damned shame to see abusive members of the greater public take advantage of them.
