McCarty was a creation of Billy McCarney who outfitted him in leather chaps and a big sombrero.
At best he would have been 25% Native American
Any chance you might one day answer one of the innumerable questions addressed to you?

You really don't have any interest in this sport do you?
You just come on here with the intention of provoking an indignant response, and to achieve that you make up anything that comes into your silly, brain dead skull!
Here is another question you will not answer.
Where is your proof tjhat McCarty was,"steeped in Native American culture.?"
Where can we find references to it?
You are a sad , pathetic troll, get yourself a life. FFS!

        - - Just to dump on you some more, here's boxrec:
        Category:Native American Boxers - BoxRec

Luck left an estate valued at $65K, a small fortune then when the average male might make 200 bucks a year, so his family weren't as destitute as you try to make them. He was making a fortune with his wild west shows much like Jess Willard would do later.

Don't know what grade they kicked you out of, but obviously you must've been a major FAIL.

Like my own grandfather and so many legends of the sport, he was born to Irish immigrants. The country, ostensibly, didn't want them. They were brought in to do the work no one else would. And they rose to embody the greatest spirit of the nation. Like a true hero, he died before his time.

So he was three fourths non native American and held the "white" heavyweight title. I'd say that makes him more white than native American.

That's the thing, I don't count on boxrec for everything and try to find other sources. In this case boxrec itself says he is on 25% native American. To me it seems you're arguing just for the sake of arguing.
