u can keep a relaxed fist and still trigger the lats to add rotation but they are minor details

To me if you take that into account Foreman could be considered the best of his era or at least equal to ALi, because he only lost to Ali due to a sneaky tactic and bad match up stylistically/genetically.

He took care of the rest of his foe in a far more impressive way. Ali did not.

It seems to me that Foreman is the king of the 80's the best of his era but ALi gets the recognition for it unfairly.

Ali lost to his poor match ups and didnt take care of the rest of his foe in the same dominant one sided way that foreman did.(for the most part)

I mean in fighting there is a rock paper scissors thing going on, their may be a best of everyone in history, but even he might have a guy that beats him just because of of stylistic/genetic match up where he is scissors and he meets a rock , but that doesn't mean hes not the best of all time, or that the other guy that can beat him is.

Ali won and lost vs friazier and Norton, 1,1, (JUST) foreman wiped them out, and all his others pretty much, overall you could argue hes the better man more impressive in his era
George Foreman only fought for two years in the 80s so I don’t how u are calling him the king of the 80s? You also mentioned a 250lb young George Foreman which never existed. I think Ali is overrated as a fighter in the ring somewhat, I saw him the Norton fights, I saw him shoe shine the last thirty seconds of most rounds. He was still great and clever and knew how to impress the judges. George showed his lack of everything against Ali. It wasent Ali getting KOd but George. I always thought Frazier was overrated as I saw his herky Jerky style get him pulverized by George twice. But the more fights I watched of Frazier the more I could see how good he was, just not against George. He did keep getting up. George didn’t even look the same or use the same style when he came back. Heck he used the cross armed block that I doubt anyone has ever seen anyone else use. I think he shoulda beat Shannon Briggs. He fought tough against Evander, but he could never win that fight. He was never the best of any era. His first career he was still very sloppy. Sometimes I was surprised at his speed actually. Still he often slapped with his punches and had an open glove. There’s nothing George does skill wise that anyone would study or want to copy. He was a big strong guy, and comeback George had a great chin, but we only know that cause he got hit so damn much. I think part of the reason everyone believes adding weight improves ur punch resistance is because of George.

          - -Archie Moore got george into the cross arm defense.

George was 250 when he first set foot in Zaire. After he got cut, that delayed the fight 6 weeks, all George did was hit the heavy bag when not seen"running like a gazelle" that dropped around the 220 mark for the fight.

Keeping in mind he wasn't allowed water the day of the fight, his natural weight was 225+, and susequent fights where he could rehydrate saw him around the 230 mark.

Yeah and Foreman was frequently over 230 in the ams. It was Joe Louis who told him to run more and get his weight down.

You are right, Queen. Chicken "Belt binner" Bowe was useless. He got Evan Field at the right time when he was just moving up to HW, and those are the only wins of note on his record. Took two absolute pastings from Golota, the Polish journeyman, before the clown got himself DQ'd twice. Nash out.
